Portsmouth 2, Gallia Academy 1.......very good win by the Trojans over a Blue Devil team that is one of the favorites to win the OVC.
Daewan Spence of PHS outdueled Zack Loveday of GAHS......two of the best pitchers in the conference.
Portsmouth now 3-0 in OVC play......defeated Chesapeake 11-0, South Point 9-1, and Gallia Academy 2-1.

Is Portsmouth baseball field in bad shape, seen they canceled games on Wednesday and Thursday when everyone else played including their softball.

OVC champ: Normally the field at Portsmouth is in good shape, but maybe it doesn't drain as well as the softball field. I really don't know, just guessing as to why baseball was cancelled while softball played.

Portsmouth beat Chesapeake tonight by a score of 10 to 0 .
Senior Tyler Duncan tossed a no hitter for the Trojans .
2 no hit games back to back for the Trojan pitchers .
Portsmouth will travel to Rock hill tomorrow.

Although there hasn't been any official standings posted, Portsmouth is the only team that is undefeated in OVC play. Portsmouth beat Rock Hill 5-3 on Thursday to stay perfect in conference play.
Still games to play, but the Trojans have an excellent chance to win the conference title. Haven't won the OVC in baseball since PHS joined in 2015.

Portsmouth defeated Ironton 7-6 in 8 innings tonight. The Trojans improve to 13-2 overall (8-1 OVC). Big game with Fairland on Friday.

After last night's big win over Ironton, the Trojans are at no worse tied for first depending on what Gallia Academy has done this week. The Fighting Tigers swept PHS with 2 wins in football (regular season and playoff) and 2 wins in basketball, so the baseball team stopped the bleeding.
