From what I heard was the umpire didn't know how to tell a bat was illegal or not. The Blue Meta 33/30 is illegal. The Blue Meta PWR 33/30 is LEGAL, the bat in question that the umpire misruled on was the Meta PWR. From what I heard he didn't know there are 2 different bats. Why not just look it up and make sure?

I was there. Circleville assistant claimed a bat was illegal like it was a 10U game. The showboat umpire did not even make an effort to see if it was a legal bat. He just believed the coach that it was illegal. It was proved by the ZT staff the next inning that it was a legal bat after the umpire called the batter out and cost ZT a run. There were still runners on base also. Meta PWR is a legal bat. Always has been. Umpires and coaches need to know the rules.

My question is: Who would buy a $500 bat that you could not use? Nobody.
I think that settles the question.

Showboat umpire here. I have asked for the pictures of the bar several times. The model number and pictures of the model number with no success of getting them. The bat was chipped and worn around the barrel. This showboat umpire knows what bats are legal and illegal. I have said multiple times I would admit and apologize if I was wrong but as many times that I have asked for pictures and none have been provided leads me to believe I may have gotten right. You have my number send me the pictures I requested and I’ll admit my mistake if I made one.
