I was able to stop for a few innings the other night and Valley looked pretty good. Pitchers were a little wild but they were blowing ND away. The hitting against the Cassidy kid was really good. Valley has talent for sure. But I did see a lot of young players too. Valley will be a tough team but I can see some slip ups if they have to pitch young guys. It was a beautiful night to watch ball.

Watched valley scrimmage today and Powell looked good. Ridout, McNeil and Barnett didn’t look bad either. Bats didn’t look good but faced very good pitching from Ontario . Valley should compete in all there games though

Saturday was a great day to watch. I saw some good and some things that were not so good. Ontario is tough. Nolan will get them playing their best ball at tournament time. That has happened with his teams since he started there.

Watched valley play Tuesday and they didn’t look that good. A lot of infield errors that lead to a lot of runs. 2nd base looks like a problem for them. pitching was ok nothing overpowering. Only had like 3 hits which one was a hr. Hope they get the gaps filled by their first game. Powell was throwing right at 85 and McNeil was at 80-81 both had no help on defense but I’m sure it will get better

I watched last night too and it wasn’t pretty. I didn’t see Copley? Was he hurt? I saw him leave Saturdays scrimmage after diving for a ball. I saw a lot of freshmen out there in spots last night that they were not the other times I watched. Maybe coach was seeing who could do what. I have seen them look great and awful, but you get that with so many young guys.

I’m not 100% certain, but the basketball soc all star game was last night. Copley may have been at that.

Copley was at an SOC All-Star game...not hurt. Yes, players were at different spots and the result wasn't pretty. But it was a scrimmage. At 1 time I saw 5 freshman on the field - no big deal. Pitchers and hitters use these games to get reps and work on specific things. It was 40 degrees with the wind blowing straight out. I would say the result was an anomaly more than the norm.

Also, I usually run a radar but it was too cold and too windy so I have no idea what the pitchers were throwing. Based on PG and PBR, the Unioto boys can rush it up there 82-88mph and just guessing I'd say 2 or 3 ticks below that.

Coach Crabtree does a great job and his guys will continue to improve. A lot of youth seeing the field in Valley so they just have to keep working and the results will follow.
