SOC I is doing pretty good against the SOC II. Clay beat west , SV goes 2-0 against west and waverly . And Green is doing well also. Pitching is key and Green and Clay have standouts --SV must be fine also. Good wins today SV --congrats MD

Not to take anything away from SV (No quit in this team), but both West and Waverly beat themselves today.

Meigs beat Wellston 6-1 with 5 runs coming in the top of the 7th inning with 3 or 4 huge outfield gappers opening the score up in what was a good game until then. The Wellston coach had to calm his own fans down a couple of times during the game because they didn't like the umps calls and if the Meigs fans were sitting close they had to get up and leave because they were getting berated also. I was a neutral fan with no dog in the fight but the home fans were a little too much. Both teams played great until the 7th inning and kudos again to the Wellston coach.

She was caught in a rundown between 2nd and 3rd. When she was caught , SS double tagged her with the second tag being a shove. She simply shoved back. As the blues called her out, they ejected her, causing confusion to the batter who stepped toward the dugout and was called out.(After a fielders choice, that gave her a single.) This ended the inning, and it took the pitcher and the momentum away from the lady siders.

In reply to Fast1.

It was the third baseman who double tagged the runner from 2nd to 3rd. The reason she double tagged is because she dropped the ball during the first tag and when she picked it up she retagged her again. Our third baseman is not the type to intentionally shove anyone. It may have seemed like it at the time but it was just a reaction to dropping the ball. This brought about total confusion which resulted in the hitter being tagged out for leaving the base. Your pitcher was doing a great job during this game. I heard she was only a freshman which means she is only going to get better in the next three years. She has very good speed now!

Good luck to both teams.

Green defeated SV tonight 4-2. Errors were again very costly to the Vikings!
Great pitching by Ali for Green and Libby for the Vikings.
Nice solo H.R. by Chelsie Wall!
