Saw some good players today. The 12:30 matchup started out as a dandy. WV travel team has some excellent players with loads of power & speed. Thought starting pitching & defense for the first 3 innings were excellent on both teams. Softball could be interesting to watch in southeastern ohio based on some players i have been able to see & identify schools from which they are. Others thoughts on todays games? How did afternoon games turn out?

WV Team wins in the late innings this past sunday, 0 - 0 thru 4 innings before things got going for the WV team. . . .got runners to 2nd and 3rd but couldn't put some hitting behind them to get some scoring. . .but in the 5th open the door with some back to back hits scoring 4 or 5 that inning with a couple of insurance runs later in the game. . . .some real good softball played in this game. . WV team had some real nice slapping (Jesse & T)done with some great timely hits (Jesse, G, T, Kelsey, Bri, ) in the late innings. . .nice job both teams. . . anyone know how the later games went????

Indoor season at Rio is over, WV Team( Stevie, Taylor(s), T, G, Amber, Bri, Kelsey, Jesse, Becca, Raven) held tough all season to go undefeated thru league play, but faced teams with very good pitching and some up and coming players, go luck with ur high school softball season, will c some of you on the diamond. . .WV Team also scrimmaged the Rio Team in a double header, lost 2-0 in the first game, with some great plays on both squads, Rio Ace pitcher did a very nice job on the rubber and Kelsey, WV Team pitcher, only a sophmore in high school did an outstanding job vs the Rio starters, with the ceiling rule though, both teams were robbed of some HR's if we were outside, the CF, 3B, 2B for Rio crushed the ball along with Stevie(C), Taylor(1B/P), Bri(CF), & G(SS), for WV Team i believe would have HR outside. In the nightcap Rio/WV moved some personnel around and brought in some new pitchers and the Rio team found their swings and put together some solid hits to leave little doubt on who the college team was,. . .though i feel that the coaches for Rio as well as players were alittle surprised at the level of play the WV Team brought to the diamond against them. . .maybe some future Red Stormers? ? ? ? Great season for the WV Team and Gracious hosts the Rio Grande Red Storm who open up next week in Charleston for their 2010 season, good luck and have a great season ! ! !
