The Jackson Ironladies gained their first win on their brand new field by defeating a solid Rock Hill team 3-1. Jackson came out swinging early with a leadoff hit by Emily Cooper and then a single by Kelly Hughes and freshman Kari Jenkinks ripped a single right back through the middle to give Jackson their 2nd run, which proved to enough behind the tremendous pitching by ace Jessica Apsley. The Ironladies scored a 3rd run in the bottom of the 6th for some breathing room and Bethany King caught a line drive and picked off the baserunner to seal the win for Jackson.


Jackson is now 1-1 and host rival Gallia Academy in a DH on Saturday @ 1:00
