If that pitcher is the one I'm thinking of then they lost a very good hitter as well. The pay to play has hurt most spring sports I think.

I think they are undefeated in the SHL, but lost a couple non-league games.

I try to keep the updated records in the first post of this thread for all teams in the SHL. Eastern is 9-0 overall at this point. They went 2-1 in pre-season with a loss to Valley (8-3). The second half of the season will be challenging for this team. They have Fayetteville-Perry tonight and then they go to Southeastern for a DH tomorrow. From there McClain, Huntington, New Richmond, Felicity, Paint Valley and Valley of Thunder Tourney. This team starts (5) underclassmen and I am curious to see how they respond to playing the level of talent they are soon to see.

looks like we ( ports nd) will see eastern brown at the symmes valley event. But we are asking for a change in schedule --we told Odie we would come if he scheduled us LATE on sat because prom is on friday night and he agreed then we got the schedule and we play at noon. and its an hour drive up there. and our girls have never been ask to play prom weekend. even late on sat. MD
