Trace comes out on top of another 1 run scratcher in Frenchtown.

It was a good game, would have been a great game if my Lady Sherman's had won.
Gotta give credit where credit is due and the Lady Pioneers did what they needed
to do to come out on top in this one.

Trace is a nice club and should make another run in the tournament this year.

The league is a two horse race right now with the mustangs in front of the Pioneers by a length.

A few strides off the pace is my beloved lady Sherman's and the upstarts from Bainbridge, the lady bearcats of Paint Valley.

Westfall being out in front is not surprising,
Their bats are as hot as any team I've seen in a while.
However I do find it surprising any team is undefeated this deep into league play.

Zane Trace is one game out.
What surprises me with Trace is the solid defense they are playing.
Before the season started I felt it was their offensive prowess
That would keep them in the title picture.

Paint Valley
Some may consider them a surprise
But just as many knew they were going to be
Very strong in the circle this year.
Seems the young talent is meshing well with the talented veterans.
Which should make them harder to beat the second time around.

Piketon
Can put a hurt on any team ahead of them in the league standings.
They just have too many loses in the league to be considered serious contenders.
A lot of top seeds will be trying to avoid the Streaks come tournament time.

Huntington
Probably the biggest surprise on the SVC season.
We all knew there would be a very good team down
In the league standings this year.
I just don't think anybody thought last years District Champs
Would be the team filling the 6th position in the league at this point.
No chance of a league title for the Huntsmen but they can have
A say in who does win the league this year.

Adena and Southeastern are pretty much where most picked them.

Unioto finds themselves 3 games out.
2 one run loses to Trace and one game to Westfall
are the league games they have dropped this season.
The Sherman's can't afford anymore loses in league play
And need a lot of help if the three-peat is gonna happen this year.
The Sherman's are playing better ball and
they have yet to peak this year.
Which may not be good enough for a league title
But may play well into a shot at the District title.

Very true your John Bennett lead Lady Pioneers has bested my beloved Lady Sherman's Twice this season, congratulations.

I do get the UHS "Rusty Roller shtick"
However I'm still at a loss on the "New Technology" supposedly being implemented
By Bennett and the Pioneer staff.
I watched John back in the day when he played for the Yellowbud Bandets.
Now the "Band" part stood for the Band that John and a few of the players played in,
Like your "New technology" the X could never quite get a read on what the "ets"
Stood for, maybe Mr. Simmons had a few too many the day he did the uniform layout and misspelled the name? Sorry I digress.........
Any way I have watched John around softball since the late 70's and his team today plays basically the same game the Southeastern Ohio Men's Fast Pitch dominating Yellowbud Bandets played. (That's right FAST PITCH and man was there some throwers back then).
The one difference is the Bandets used two hands on all pop ups and fly balls.

New Technology to John is:
pop top cans over tab pullers
Cassette tapes over 8 tracks ***(see Van Hagar below)
VHS over Betta
Van Hagar instead of Van Halen "proof that change is not always for the better"
I'm not even gonna try to find out if Mr. Bennett "TEXT" messages, of course that cell
Phone he has is big enough to have a full key board on it.

Maybe the New Technology is:

Built with advanced technology the fastest-selling bat in Fastpitch
and features thinner, higher-strength walls for a lighter swing weight
and a barrel to handle connection that creates a larger sweet spot
and better overall feel.
Features:
iST technology
Balanced swing weight
Louisville Slugger end cap
Synthetic grip, 7/8" standard handle
Benefits:
More pop, less weight
The thinner high-strength and lightweight graphite fibers
of our LS-2X Composite Barrel technology add barrel strength while reducing overall thickness,
resulting in a lighter swing and better performance.
Flexible barrel, larger sweet spot
Also added an aluminum inner disc – called S1iD technology – to the bat to create a more flexible,
forgiving barrel, a larger sweet spot and a cleaner "pop" with every hit.

Of course The X is talking about the
Xeno
Swung by
Geno

With out a doubt she is the most feared bat in the SVC
New Technology or not.

Now all stated above may not be 100% factual
Some names and dates have been changed to protect the innocent

The bitter half claims there to be plenty of room in it.
But since your in here can you help me with these other questions the X often ponders:

Do Chinese people get English sayings tattooed on their bodies?

Does Espn mean sports in Spanish?

Why are there interstate highways in Hawaii?

Why do we drive on Parkways and Park on Driveways?

Why are the numbers on a calculator and a phone reversed?

Why are there no 'B' batteries?

Why did Judge Judy never pay their debt last season?

Is a pessimist's blood type B-negative?

Are part-time band leaders semi-conductors?

Why are haemorrhoids called 'haemorrhoids' instead of 'asteroids'?

But most importantly
What is this New Technology The Zane Trace staff is using to have the Pioneers playing this caliber of ball?

O+
