Brunswick beat Wheelersburg 1-0. Great game. Field 1
Symmes Valley beat Brunswick 7-4. Another great game. Field 1
Wheelersburg was playing Marietta at 8.PM. Score after 3 innings was 1-0 Wheelersburg.

Games for Saturday have been delayed 2hrs. Games scheduled to start at 10AM are now scheduled for 12 Noon. They are hoping to have all four fields ready for tomorrow.

Beans and Cornbread and roasting a pig are still on schedule! Hope we have a large crowd ready to see some great softball teams from around the area. Wear old shoes !

Team from northern ohio beat Russell ky 10 or 11 -4 .

Notre Dame was up 3-0 , I was told the 3 hitter hit a 3 run dinger to lead Greenup Co 3-0 after 1 inning.

Both of these reports were secondhand. MD

The games I had were..

Wellston defeated Northwest 3-2 on a walk off homerun by the Left handed pitcher for Wellston in the bottom of the 8th

Waterford defeated Greenup county 4-3..I believe that was the final..

Good games,,

Hats of to Odie, Rusty and the people of Symmes Valley for working their butts off on getting things ready and playable....the fields were great... :aaaaa41 :aaaaa41 :aaaaa41 :aaaaa41 :aaaaa58

Alot of rescheduling had to go on due to the rain on Friday. I for one would like to see the Thunder Valley go back to the first of May. It was changed due to prom scheduling. Now alot of schools are having their proms in April instead of May. Alot better weather in May than April. Still I think everyone there enjoyed the games. The beans were great as was the pig roash. Hats off to George Sanders who comes out year after year to fix them and to Mike Wall who roasted the pig this year. If you were not there you miss alot of quality softball by alot of dedicated young ladies. Anyone who thinks softball is dull and boring has never been to a Thunder Valley Weekend. The caliber of play would make alot of college coaches drool. Many thanks to Odie, Rusty, Chad, Paul, Steve, their wives and all who worked in the concession stand and field maintenance and many more not mentioned who made it possible. Hope to see everyone again in 2009.
