The coin flip is a "fair" way to decide the the final order. I have no problem with that. I wish something could be figured out that is more performance based, but that is often difficult to do. I do have a problem with the way the coin-flip impacts the all-sports trophy. Keep the coin-flip as far as I am concerned but figure out a way to distribute the points for the all-sports trophy more equitably. Why not take the final points earned by the three tied teams and split them evenly among those teams?

It wasn't really a coin flip was it? Sounded like a numbers drawing.

I believe this is the second time Warren's girls have ended in a 3 way tie for first and played for fifth place. Not sure which sport is was though but was just a couple of years ago. Doesn't seem fair but then again that is life and sports prepare the student athletes for life experiences.

Just heard Logan gals edged GAHS 1-0 in the bottom of the eighth inning for 2008 SEOAL crown. Blue Angels finished second with 12-1 league mark. Logan won it all with an 9-4 record.

Marietta over Ironton 7-1.
They got a good one in their pitcher, numerous k's.
I was also told she has 200+ for the year, very impressive.

As posted above
Logan 1, Gallipolis 0 at Logan
Marietta 7, Ironton 1 at Marietta

Also
Athens 19, Portsmouth 2 (5 inn.) at Athens
Warren 3, Jackson 0 at Warren
Zanesville 11, Chillicothe 1 (5 inn.) at Zanesville

So it is a 5-0 sweep for the North in softball
