Rock Hill over South Point 8-6. Two homers by the Pointer's Leighty ( first batter in the game for the Pointers) and Collins ( line drive straight just 8 feet left of center field). But the young Redwomen fought back from 0-3 to take a 5-3 lead in one inning. Pointers tie it up at 5-5. Then the Redwomen go up 8-5 and Pointers rally for one more to make it 8-6. Great game by both teams I see the rematch at SP being a great game as well.

South Point over Fairland 10-3. Both teams hit the ball really well. Failrand's catcher went down in the first inning with a knee injury which hurt them alot! Pointers third baseman also left the game with an injury. Felt sorry for the Fairland pitcher who has too many errors in the defense behind her to win games too win games!

Leighty has like 80 stolen bases and made it into the Ohio Softball state record book. She also made it in with back to back games with a homerun as well. Collins made it in recently with two homers in one game at Greenup. Way to go Lady Pointers. Hope the weather holds out so no more games get cancelled!

Yes Rucker is still the catcher for Fairland. She is a senior this year. Hope the knee injury isn't major so she can finish up her last year! She is one of the best catchers around no doubt.
