Re: Softball Bats
I got my daughter a Catalyst. It's a great bat. She also swings a rocketech and it's a great bat but I think the catalyst is a little better. Them kids up north had the catalyst and hit alot of home runs. The rocketech is end loaded and I think they lose bat speed but when they connect the ball is hit hard.
Re: Softball Bats
Both the rocket tech and the catalyst are great bats. For spring time high school ball, I would recommend the Rocket Tech if one is strong enough to swing it well. The Catalyst is a great summer time(warm weather) bat, but cooler weather really restricts its performance and the ability for the ball to jump off the bat. Just my experience through coaching high school and summer ball.
Re: Softball Bats
The Mizuno Frenzy is a really good new bat. You can barely feel the ball come off the bat. No sting whatsoever.
Re: Softball Bats
The last I saw the Mizunon Frenzy was put on the Illeglal list for ASA therefore making unusable in HS. So is that true or does anyone know?
Re: Softball Bats
I'm in high school and I use the Catalyst, Easton Stealth, and Catalyst 2. They're all great bats, although they all don't weight the same, it shouldn't matter because bat speed is what does matter. Does anyone know where the list of illegal bats is online for OHSAA?

The only Frenzy bats on there aren't the one's I've seen used. So, here's a list of all unaproved bats for ASA.
