Greenup 4 West 2 ...West beat themselves with walks, errors and the inability to hit the ball. The season is young and so are the Lady Senators. Hopefully the Lady Senators turn it around tomorrow night at their home opener. GOOD LUCK TO THE LADY SENATORS, GIT 'ER DONE!!!!!!!

West is playing lots of underclassman, may require some patience. I'd guess they will be fine. MD

i agree they could not hit the ball last night and made alot of errors. as for the walks thats something i think u have to expect when you put a freshamn pitcher in her first game and her defense doesnt make plays behind her on plays such as grounders in the infield that are routine. as a pitcher that will frustrate you. she just needs 2 learn to stay composed and pitch through it. west will be fine tho.

I agree that the Lady Senators are young. But, they have played in enough games to know how to play ball. They all know that walks and bean balls will beat you most of the time. Yes, errors and not hitting the ball doesn't help either.

i dont believe it matters if you have freshmen in or not- players are players turn them loose play ball if they've played any travelball it doesnt matter what grade they are in freshmen can hit homeruns just like seniors- no excuses

Lady Senators are not showing any leadership out of the upper classmen. [ JMO ] I also think the batting lineup needs shaking up a little. UPPER CLASSMEN NEED TO SHOW LEADERSHIP, GET SOME FIRE IN YOU, LADIES GIT 'ER DONE!!!!!!! Don't worry about the last two games. Get your heads together and play some ball like you know how.

yes but if youre young then that discourages you. i dont know if you ever played sports at all but i remember in my freshman year of playing baseball i was the 3rd baseman and when something went wrong adn we werent winning i remember sometimes blaming myself because i was the young one on the team. what im meaning by this is exactly what softball123 said the upper classmen need to be leaders with this young team leadership could mean everything and make or break your season. IMO

very good game between 2 evenly matched teams. Pitching was very solid both ways. Ultimately West's D stayed strong and Valley made a key mistake. Bats were pretty slow both ways. Seemed like neither team has more than 3-4 hits. Early in the season the pitching is usually ahead of the O. Good W for the young ladies from West. MD

the laday senators still dont look to be on the top of their game but last nite was a huge win to start out 1-0 in conference play... GOOD JOB WEST!!

Game could have went either way. It just so happens it went West Lady Senators way. West did not quit until the last out. Keep it up Ladies !!! Always play until the last out winning or loosing. GIT 'ER DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
