Ohio State LL Girls Softball Tourney at Ironton

The State tourney begins in Ironton on Saturday. 5 of 6 teams have qualified with the final team set to qualify today or possibly tomorrow.
Those in so far are Ashtabula, Poland, East Hamilton, Bucyrus, Wheelersburg.
Avon and Talmadge are playing for the final spot.

Game 1. Sat 2:00 pm. Bucyrus vs. Poland (Bucyrus wins 4-3)
Game 2. Sat 2:00 pm. Wheelersburg vs. Ashtabula (Wheelersburg wins 6-0)
Game 3. Sun 1:00 pm. Avon vs. (Bucyrus) (Bucyrus wins 9-6)
Game 4. Sun 1:00 pm. East Hamilton vs. (Wheelersburg) (Wheelersburg wins 17-0)
Game 5. Mon 11:00 am. (Poland) vs. (East Hamilton). (Poland wins 12-0)
Game 6. Mon 11:00 am. (Ashtabula) vs. (Avon). (Avon wins 9-3)
Game 7. Mon 2:00 pm. (Bucyrus) vs. (Wheelersburg). (Wheelersburg wins 4-0)
Game 8. Tues 11:00 am. (Poland) vs. (Avon). (Avon wins 1-0 in 8 innings)
Game 9. Wed 11:00 am. (Avon) vs. (Bucyrus). (Avon wins 4-0)
Game 10. Thurs 11:00 am. (Wheelersburg) vs. (Avon). (Wheelersburg wins 4-0)

Wheelersburg won both their games. I"m a little disappointed with the level of competition from some of the teams who have made it to state tournament.

Congrats to the young ladies from the Burg and good luck in the regionals.
What is amazing is that the Burg girls didn't give up a single run in the tourney.
Who is there pitcher? She must be a dandy.

Thank you for your support, these young ladies have worked very hard. We are in Missouri
right now, and are scheduled to play @ 8:00pm tonight. These Ladies will do their best to
represent the State of Ohio.

Wheelersburg was beat by Indiana last night, I think they play again today.

Burg is playing now in the regional final. Beat Indiana this morning 4-3. One more and they go to the world series.
