Unioto vs Warren Local

Post by Cap'n Scoop »

I know nothing about Unioto, anyone have any info? Warren Local comes in with a 17-9 record. Kind of a Jeckyll and Hyde team. They have the potential to play with anyone. They are led by Seniors Taylor Dolak (2b) and Randi McKenna (SS): as good a tandem up the middle as you will find. Junior Molly Powell will probably be on the mound and always gives the Lady Warriors a chance to win. Other Junior starters are Staci Lauer (rf), Madison Stauffer (cf), Devan Rowley (1b) and Caitlyn Bowman (3b-DH). Sophs Hannah Zimmerman (C) and Ally Spence (lf) and Freshman Riley Benson (3b-DH) round out the line up. Sophomore Taylor Dennis is the #2 pitcher.

Unioto is 18-8 and has one senior(2nd team All SVC SS Chloe Cottrell) and no juniors. They also have 2 sophomore pitchers who split starts are both very effective.

I think Warren will be the home team of record but the game will take place in Frenchtown :?

Like Dani said The U is basically a small DII school playing mostly with sophomores and freshmen. Warren’s experience should give them a decisive advantage in this tournament game.

Looks like this should be an evenly matched game between 2 young but athletic teams. Whichever team gets some early breaks or bounces or can handle some adversity should have a good chance to advance. Looking forward to watching this one.

Is this game still on for 6pm this evening? Are there lights at Unioto softball?

Very entertaining game. Unioto is a very fundamentally sound team. Great season Lady Warriors, the future looks very bright. Goodluck Unioto.
