I didn't make the comment to start an argument wise one. I was just saying that teams are going to have to start trying to get some games in sometime

I'd say if the field isn't under water teams need to play even if tacky and a little muddy. A lot of school can bring in some sand or something to help. Good luck to everyone on getting them played.

I think one of the least desirable jobs in secondary education has to be AD. All sports are outdoors and it is spring. All teams have league commitments making it next to impossible to make up non league cancellations due to weather. And that is not even taking into account teams who make long bus trips only to see games stopped due to weather and those teams having to make a return trip to finish them.

We have been very fortunate to get 12 games in so far, but even we still have five PPD games to try to make up. Some teams dont even have close to ten games in.

It goes with the territory of spring sports and some years are better than others. Most years our softball team gets in 25+ games but there have been springs where we only played 17-18.
Chillicothe is in a very common 2011 situation. On our 19th scheduled game, we are sitting at 10 played with Jackson canceled for this evening. Tomorrow vs Gallia looks possible but then a new storm system comes calling Fri morning thru Sat afternoon. Our field drains great but we are at absolute and total ground saturation.

Cute kid... was Jacksons field playable? It usually drains well... But with the amount of rain lately you never know.

I think it's more of a baseball issue. Our district, generally speaking, will not send just baseball/softball to a league game when both teams can't play.

ND 11 or 12 Green 1 . Green's leadoff hitter scored after getting a hit to right field to lead off the game, OF was quite a mess and our OF slipped and the girl came all the way around to score. ND then put up 9 in their half of the 1st .

West 4 Burg 3 .

Did minford play at NW ?

South Point over River Valley 10-1 now. Game was moved from River Valley to SP. RV 's fields were unplayable I guess. Glad to just get it in.
