Minford hosted Unioto tonight for a scrimmage and defeated the Tanks 16-4.

Minford (2-0) continues the season off well defeating Waverly 12-2 (6) at home. Next up at Waverly Friday.

Minford defeated Peebles Monday 3-27 in a last minute scheduled game 11-1 (5).

The Lady Falcons remains unbeaten on the season with two games Saturday, defeating Circleville 6-2 and Hillsboro 17-1(5). Minford is now 4-0. The PPD away game with Waverly has been moved to Thursday 4-6.

Ironton is moved to 4-11 to get the Waverly game in. Today the Lady Falcons (5-0) defeated South Webster 10-0 (6).

Sounds like the Falcons and coach Messer is taking names.......

Season is still in the early going, but its a nice start.

Congrats on the victory. Minford has a real nice team and I'm looking forward to the match-up vs Burg. Should be interesting.

I didn't go to the Waverly vs Minford game but I heard it was tied at 2-2 after 6 innings when Waverly pulled their starting pitcher. Is that accurate? I know she is just coming back in to action and perhaps has a pitch count limit which would be the smart course of action. I believe that was her third game back this season and second game pitching.

So did Waverly's transfer pitcher make her debut ? If so she isnt coming back from an injury and assuming shes been working out she should be good to throw 7 innings in a low scoring game ( low pitch count) . Maybe she had some pain/tightness and had to be removed , who knows . Would be nice to know the report on how good she looked if its the transfer .
