D2 District Tournament

Post by Ironman92 »

Warren Local handled Greenfield McClain to advance to the district finals.....they will face the Circleville/Jackson winner.

In was called for lightning in the top of the 5th with no one on and 2 outs. (Jackson batting)

Jackson 3
Circleville 1

Assuming it goes your way rest of game I92, what is the answer for Warren? They have gotten us twice this year I believe, and was wondering about your thoughts on how you can get them...besides pitching well, no fielding mistakes, and putting the ball in play lol. Any strategies you wanna share?

Is Jackson going to try to get the 9 outs they need this evening before the other two games, or tomorrow evening?

Looks like rain went through that area recently(1;30). Is the game still on to be made up between Jackson and Circleville??

Great pitching by Kacee Jenkins surrendering just 4 hits and 1 run. Great defense and a couple timely hits were enough.

District Finals at 4:30......graduation at 8:00....whew!

Warren in the same boat. Graduation starts at 7 PM at Marietta College. One Senior Riley Benson will miss her graduation. I guess some type of skpe will be done to include her. She might be able to be back by 8 but even that will be difficult.

Good Luck Lady Warriors!!!

No defense can save getting baserunners by walks, and all four runners who scored in the game got on via bases on balls!

Very even game with the team that gave up the most walks giving up the most runs. How many of the walks were situationally pitching around good hitters? I presume the 3 in the 3 run inning were not and were due to control issues, as well as the walk ahead of the triple for the only run for the losers. Could the the two out, two on walk in the bottom of the 5th have been a pitch around? How about the the two out walk after the triple?

I would have liked to have been at that game, and would really like to be there for tonight's game, but it's not in the cards!

It was not a pitch around....the zone was getting tight and the walk happened.

Riley had a very good game and the Jackson girls thought it was great that she got honored before the game.
