SOC 2020

Post by captainmorgan_ »

Who wins the soc 1? Notre dame? Not real familiar with the soc 1 teams.

SOC belongs to wheelersburg? will anyone come close to an upset?

Notre Dame should be favorite in D1, followed closely by Symmes Valley.
Wheelersburg returns a lot of talent, followed closely by Minford. These two teams went at it in close games during the regular season.

ND returns Cassie Schaffer in the circle , unless SV has a similar girl in the circle I cant see then challenging ND . I think Clay graduated a bunch . Not sure how they will reload.

Here are last years SOC1 results that are posted on SEOPS. Looks like a couple games are missing from the records. Should be 14 games for each team. Hard for me to see Symmes Valley jumping up to 2nd when they also lost their starting pitcher unless they have someone else coming up to replace her. Also Eastern will leave while St. Joe comes in to the SOC1.

Clay 13-1
Notre Dame 13-1
Green 9-5
Symmes Valley 8-5
Beaver Eastern 4-8
Glenwood 4-10
Sciotoville 1-11
Western 1-12

From last years starters Clay has 2 starting fielders and 1 of their 2 pitchers from last year returning.

I think first place in S.o.c. 2 could be Minford, Oak Hill, or Burg.

It widened a little when B Wolf left Minford for burg
No on in this area will field a better team than burg but for burg like with all teams it will all come down to pitching
Burgs pitching has been inconsistent since Howard left

Not a chance
Not because she will not be deserving but because coaches hold grudges

Coaches shouldn’t hold grudges, BWolf should get it, she’d have my vote lol

Just curious to know why you think this? I haven't seen some of these kids play a whole lot the last 2 years. just a few games here and there but Burg has Sturgill and Hughes , and if Spence their pitcher has a good year I could see her getting it.

Everyone plays for second place behind Burg. Another year of most having no chance to win SOC2.

Oak Hill and Minford will most likely be 2 and 3 then everyone else 4-8.

Most are still in 7th and 8th
A few are in highschool but won’t have an impact
There will be a couple freshman that have a chance to have an impact but they weren’t on that team
