Madison Perry from Portsmouth is without a doubt one of the top players in the area and should be on this list. Has put up some amazing numbers the last few years and will continue to during her senior season.

It’s just a preseason list. Hard to know everyone in all the main sports. SOSA is still young. Softball isn’t their main knowledge and unless you are smack in the middle of softball, it’s hard to know everyone or stay in the loop. 8 years ago I coached and knew everyone from playing, scrimmaging, younger ages. I could’ve named 40 of the top 50. 8 years removed I probably couldn’t name 3 players prior to reading this.

SOSA is getting girls names out there, not a bad thing and they’ll get better with it.

SOSA was great the first year or so... then I'm not sure if they started getting sponsorships from certain areas so they felt a need to cover those sponsors schools more?
They hit the no-brainers of course but as far as coverage wise they have turned into the thing I thought they were trying to replace.

Just from watching two games watching Portsmouth West, Mcdermott on the mound is a force. And Emily Moore smokes the ball everytime she comes to the plate. Shame that Rollins is injured, they have a very good team.

SOSA doesn't cover their conference.

This is a "Players to Watch" list, not a "Top 10 Players" list.

The last 10 years soft has changed so much. So many great players out there. SOSO is doing a great job in all sports getting the kids name out. I know I missed several girls name out. Here is a couple names to watch also Richendollar from Southeastern and Banks from Athens

Chaney from Southern is a very good player.
