Should be a fun run and gun affair. I am sure that losing their coach will hinder UCF though. I am glad that Ohio State did not get this matchup. Nothing to gain and everything to lose.

I disagree ,I see it as a reward to ucf for going unbeaten. I think this is a very deserved matchup. ucf was the only d1 team undefeated.and anything shy of a major team for an opponent would have been senseless. let them see where they stand. go knights !!!!!!!!!!

I don't think this will be an easy game at all. and I think ucf has a real shot at winning this.

What a season for UCF, finishing 14-0.

Wow, Auburn driving easily and in position for the tying TD. UCF dials up the all out blitz and QB just throws it up in the end zone, picked off.
Game over - SEC goes down.

Did UCF have a legitimate claim for a playoff spot?

I was thinking that too Omega. Proves the CFP shouldn't be exclusive to power 5 conferences. We desperately need more playoff teams even if it does take a little luster off the regular season. Do away with the conference championships and add more teams! The championships are pretty worthless right now since all the conference champs don't even get in.

I think the answer would be four 16 super conferences with two eight team divisions. The conference champ games would be the quarterfinals, and so forth. It would require kicking out the Kansas's of college football and adding teams like UCF who want to make the commitment. Not a realistic solution, but hey, I am a doddering old man who needs the drool wiped from his toothless gumscbolt wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2018 5:35 pm I was thinking that too Omega.
