WK3 - Fairland 7 Ironton 49

Ironton's defense is good all around. The secondary is improved and they seem to be deep at cornerback. Remember this defense held Ashland to 14 last season. Fairland had an excellent qb and we dominated them in Fairland. Carrico blocked kicks, returned kicks, ran all over them. The defense smothered them. Just hope the offense finally blows up. This team is special. So many weapons. Give Fosson the ball more, This guy is a wrecking ball.

It’s time to unload the plethora of running backs this team has. It’s time a new back emerges and is able to stomp his mane as a weapon. I’m not saying who, but several are capable.
I saw some nice video of a frosh, with good size, shifty, & “BeepBeep faaasssszzzzt”. I’d love to see get some touches, I know using a frosh is a stretch, but with all due respect, this ain’t the Lutz era anymore!

I ageee with Fosson being a beast. He seemed a bit “gimpy” in the Russell game as I watched on the FB mytown live feed.
Did anyone else notice this????

By the way, another week of 3 pages of posts before a tiger game.

ironton will determine the outcome of this game. if they rein in the penalties and dumb mistakes they will blow out fairland.... if not the dragons can keep it a game for awhile...the talent between the opponents is miles apart. and i agree other people must get involved or many starters will be dinged up for a playoff run

This may be by design this may be simply teams know they do not have that break away back yet.
This is a deeper Ironton team than in recent years.
I do mot think Fairland will be a big problem for Ironton they will come out fired up and ready to play but I think Ironton will wear them down and allow backups to play.
Next week will be the game to watch so Ironton hopefully will not be overlooking this team.
And hopefully we find that speed back and surprise a tough Ashland team that has had Irontons number here lately.
