Fair enough. I also know that Point lost a lot of talent from last year and even with that being said if their rb hadn't got hurt last week after building that 13-0 lead I don't think it would have been close..... and Ironton has 2 big backs. It'll all wash out here in a few weeks.svac83 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 12:59 pm I have no idea where Gallia falls in top 10. But sometimes in the playoffs it is who you draw way more then your record or where you finish. I know very few people that knew licking valley that didn’t know blue devils were in for a long night. They would of had a better matchup as 4 or 5 seed.
You are right depending on your schedule and how your team devolps a lot of 7-3 teams as good as 9-1 teams go. I am not sure I would have Gallia in top 5. Because I am not sure Ironton is best team. If we are going by out and out best teams things would be a lot different. But the opening poster said with a winning record so my guess would be the top 10 would look vastly different in a few weeks.
I just think Gallia and Ironton very close. And all I said was Ironton and Gallia I don’t think have 5 teams between the to of them.

Re: Top 10 Teams in the SE District
The back that went out and got hurt for point was not the power back. The point back was picking up almost all his yards before contact. The two drives had as much to do with gallia defenders not staying with there assignments and wanting to be the tackler then it did the running back. Yes i think point of would of been more explosive as he stayed in but would of not moved ball as easy.FANOSPORTS wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 1:21 pmFair enough. Much like happened in the ironton game last year. In the first half ironton moved ball at will because on run plays defenders did not set edges and turn play up or string it out they tried to make the tackle and when they missed big play ensued. Same thing in passing game QB would scrambles defender would go to QB leaving wide receivers uncovered. In the second half it only happened one time and ironton had problems moving the ball. The Blue devils didn't change there game plan or defense they just started executing it.
I also think if point running back had not been hurt the blue devils would of opened up offense a little more. But this team under Penrod really plays not to lose the game and plays fairly conservative. and had point of been more explosive so would of blue devils. not saying point would of not beat them. but a blowout was not happening.

Yeah not sold Wheelersburg would beat Jackson or Gallia.FANOSPORTS wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 11:43 amAgree Poo.... I don't know what planet these Gallipolis people are are on but Wheelersburg would beat Jackson right now and they're not in even in his top 10 ? Even Athens at 0-3 right now would beat 3 of these teams easily. Some people just can't get by won-loss records.Poo Bear wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 7:28 amJackson is gaining traction but can’t put 4 quarters together. They must get a lot better to beat a Wheelersburg in 2 weeks. Zero chance they deserve the top spot.MisterGalliaGuy2016 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 2:05 am 1. Jackson

If we were fortunate enough to make it I’d rather play you guys. Would be our easiest game in that region by far.Poo Bear wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 5:47 pmJackson Vs the U in the playoffs ??mlittle wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 5:44 pmShew! 9-1 will be tough for the Usvac83 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 2:39 pm OK I actually looked at all the teams in area. i am no expert but here is my guess at end of year.

Re: Top 10 Teams in the SE District
Possibly could get that game on the schedule in the future though.
Re: Top 10 Teams in the SE District
I think that would’ve been a fun game this year. We’ll be down a few years after this one.
Re: Top 10 Teams in the SE District
We’re gonna have a time getting through the svc this year tho. Top 4 is pretty stout
Re: Top 10 Teams in the SE District
Yes adena beating up courthouse was an eye opener for me
Re: Top 10 Teams in the SE District
Plus what SE did to Vinton Co. really opened mine up. I knew Adena was going to be right at the top and SE usually beating up some bad teams but that beating they gave VC has me a little worried. Lol
Re: Top 10 Teams in the SE District
And I still owe you one for the beatings you gave me after the basketball game on here last year. Just patiently waiting
