You are absolutely correct!
Just look at what Wisconsin did to Xichigan lol.

I know that's not comparable but you have to take a swipe at the team up north any chance you get lol.

A freaking heartbreaker in McArthur. One of the wildest games I’ve ever seen. Both teams did everything to win the game AND lose the game.

Up 2 scores with less than 9 minutes to go in the game... this one will take a minute to get over. I believe we just crowned the TVC Ohio champion tonight barring an upset along the way.

Good things to come. The right man and staff are innokace. The kids are buying in. This is just the first year of this regime and it already showed the signs of where VC wants to be in football. Tough one tonight. But lots of positives.

What really happened, sounds as if you lost a heartbreaker? I would guess something to do with Joey Moore.

Moore is a stud. 2 unforced fumbles hurt, but that’s part of the game. Back and forth all night long. Two heavyweights throwing punches. Came down to a goal line stand and Athens made the plays late. It stings for sure but I’m proud of the Vikings for fighting. Not many gave Vinton County a chance against Athens. I think we proved tonight that we can compete for a championship. A winning record is the goal. It hasn’t happened since 2004. I think 6 wins is still in the cards. On to Alexander.

Thank you for responding. Tough way to lose, sounds as if the Vikings gave one heck of an effort.

We will have our recap show out on Monday. It should be a good one.

Athens jumped out to a 13-0 first quarter lead and looked as if they would cruise to an easy win. The second quarter was all VC and the Vikings went into the half with a 14-13 lead. The second half was back and forth. VC led with less than 9 minutes to go, 28-19. Seemed as if the game was over. A fumble by VC and a 60 yard pass by Moore brought it back to a 3 point game, 28-25. VC then fumbles again o their next drive and Athens again, capitalized. 33-28. VC fumbled, again. Athens then took a shot at the end zone but the Vikings picked it off. Giving them (some) hope with 2:30 to go. He Vikings pushed the ball down to the 5 yard line. 4 plays later, Athens held VC and sealed the game with seconds to go. One of the best back and forth games I have ever seen. Really, REALLY stings but the Vikings played tough. Just a couple plays away from being 4-1. We’re close. Not where we want to be, but we are close. Hopefully we can build some momentum from this and some confidence. Athens, unioto, and Southeastern are all out of the way. Let’s win the rest!
