Kevin Burch made his Buckeye head coaching debut on Saturday, and the Buckeyes never trailed on their way to a 3-0 (25-17; 27-25; 25-19) victory over North Greenville. Leading the way for OSU was Andrew Hillman who tallied 12 points, while Michael Wright tallied 38 assists. Jackson Gilbert led North Greenville with 13.5 points.

Next up, Ohio State will host Urbana on Tuesday night.

The Buckeyes picked up their second consecutive victory to open the season, this time they defeated visiting Urbana 3-0 (25-20; 25-11; 25-19) in Columbus on Tuesday night. Leading the way for OSU was Martin Lallemand with 12 points, while Luke Lentin tallied 31 assists. The leading scorer for Urbana was Pascual Chavez with 11 points.

Next up, Ohio State will host St. Francis (PA) on Thursday.

The Buckeyes recorded their third consecutive 3-0 victory to open the season, as they defeated St. Francis (PA) 3-0 (25-18; 25-20; 25-19) on Thursday night in Columbus. Martin Lallemand once again led OSU to victory, this time with 12 points, followed by Reese Devilbiss with 11 points. Michael Wright recorded 23 assists for the Buckeyes.

Leading the way for St. Francis was Christian Graziano with 11.5 points on the night.

Next up, Ohio State will host Lincoln Memorial next Thursday.

Ohio State wrapped up their homestand to open the season with a perfect 5-0 record. They accomplished that by defeating Lincoln Memorial 3-1 on Thursday night, then on Friday night, they shutout King by winning 3-0.

Next up, Ohio State will play USC and UCLA at Penn State next Friday and Sunday, respectively.

The Buckeyes continued their dominant season tonight, defeating USC 3-0 (25-20; 25-21; 25-22). Martin Lallemand led the Buckeyes with 19.5 points, followed by Reese Devilbiss with 11.5 points. Michael Wright tallied 37 assists for OSU. Billy Fauntleroy led the Trojans with 10 points.

Next up, Ohio State plays UCLA at 1:30pm on Saturday.

For the first time this season, the Buckeyes dropped a match, and it was to #6 UCLA on a neutral court, 3-1 (25-16; 24-26; 25-16; 25-17). Leading the winning Bruins was Cole Ketrzynski with 18.5 points. For OSU, Tim Baldwin tallied 13.5 points.

Next up, Ohio State will travel to Saint Francis next Friday. The last time they played this season, Ohio State won 3-0.

For a second time this season, the Buckeyes defeated St. Francis, and also for the second time this season, it was 3-0 (25-16; 25-23; 27-25). Leading the attack for OSU was Reese Devilbiss with 12 points, while Michael Wright tallied 29 assists.

Next up, Ohio State travels to #7 Penn State tomorrow night.

The Buckeyes proved on Saturday, on the road, why they are a top 15 team. They won at #7 Penn State 3-0 (25-22; 25-22; 26-24). Reese Devilbiss played a great match, recording 18.5 points. Michael Wright led the Buckeyes in helpers with 35. Leading the way for the Nittany Lions was Brett Wildman with 16 points.

Next up, Ohio State hosts UC Santa Barbara and Long Beach State next Friday and Saturday.

Hosting the Big Ten vs. Big West Challenge over the weekend, the Buckeyes dropped both competitions against top 5 teams. On Friday night they fell 3-1 to #3 UC Santa Barbara, then on Saturday night they fell again 3-1, this time to #5 Long Beach State.

Next up, Ohio State will host another top 10 team when they host Lewis on Thursday.

Opening up conference play at home against the preseason conference favorite, Lewis, the Buckeyes fell to the Flyers 3-0 (25-22; 25-17; 25-17). OSU was able to keep it tight in the first set, but ultimately were dominated in the last two sets to get swept. Samuel Clark led the Buckeyes in scoring with just 9 points, while Michael Wright tallied 19 assists. Tyler Mitchem tallied 17 points for Lewis.

Next up, Ohio State will host McKendree on Saturday.

After 3 consecutive losses against top 10 teams, the Buckeyes were in major need of a victory, and got just what they needed, as they defeated McKendree 3-0 (25-20; 29-27; 25-23) for their first conference victory on Saturday night. Martin Lallemand led the Buckeyes with 14.5 points, while Michael Wright tallied 39 assists. Leading McKendree was Patrick Ross with 15 points.

Next up, Ohio State plays at Loyola-Chicago next Friday.

The Buckeyes are reeling right now, as they dropped two conference road matches over the weekend. On Friday night, they fell to Loyola-Chicago by a final score of 3-1. Then on Saturday, #14 Purdue Fort Wayne duplicated that score, as OSU fell to the Mastodons 3-1.

Next up, Ohio State heads out for another road trip, when they are at Quincy next Friday, and Lindenwood next Saturday.

Although they went 1-1 over the weekend, on the road, OSU did pick up a much needed conference victory. Playing at Quincy on Friday, the Buckeyes picked up a key 3-0 victory. And then on Saturday, playing at Lindenwood, OSU fell 3-1.

Next up, Ohio State has a conference match on Wednesday when they host Ball State.

The Buckeyes wrapped up their week on Sunday, after playing two home matches. On Wednesday, the Buckeyes played a very solid Ball State team in conference play and lost 3-1 (16-25; 29-27; 26-24; 25-18). And then on Sunday, the Buckeyes ultimately swept their season series against #8 Penn State by winning 3-1 (25-21; 25-20; 23-25; 25-19).

Next up, Ohio State will hit the East Coast for next weekend, starting in New Jersey when they play at NJIT on Thursday, then at George Mason on Saturday.
