Meigs 54 @ Fort Frye 67 Final

Post by EasternDspy »

Meigs has played Vinton County and Marietta close the last few days. They are had a tough week going 0-3.

Ok I know most people have heard about it and I’m going to post it and that’s all that needs to be said about it but Nic Hart is out for the year and let’s leave it at that.

Fort Frye has won 2 games close without him they are learning new rotations.

I would think FF would win but is FF without it’s best player?

He’s out for the year.

They have won last 2 without him. They are pretty deep.

Anytime anyone has to face Weston Baer, that is plenty of reason to be concerned. FF will no doubt be the favorite, but Meigs has played some pretty good teams.

Cadets should come out shooting well in this one.

Fort Frye has to pickup the defense. First part of the year their press was suffocating, which got them easy buckets in transition. Last couple of games they haven’t been able to force those turnovers consistently.

Luke Huffman playing up to the challenge scoring probably 10-12 points tonight, with good ball handling and defense.
Zane Wallace probably leading scorer for FF with everyone contributing. FF JV's also won 44-32.

Baer, of course led Meigs scoring.

You nailed this. They didn’t miss a shot the first 11 minutes.

That’s the kinda game Fort Frye needs Wallace 22 and Fogle 20. Those 2 are huge for this team if they want to win districts. You know Brady is going to score 10-15 with 8-12 rebounds.

Meigs played well you have to think Fort Frye shot 68 % for the game.
