I think the 1 seed matters if the top 3 are Jackson and Sheridan and Fairfield Union. I think there is a little separation from those 3 to 4-6 and if you could avoid the other 2 in the first game at the Convo then it wouldn't be a bad thing.

The 1 seed would also get an 8 seed in a Sectional Final while the 3 seed would get the 6 seed and there might be a little separation in that area as well.

I am not as sure about Fairfield Union as I was before their injury but I would avoid them if I could anyway. Well coached and play without fear in the tournament.

I’m not just saying this because I’m biased but I think the separation comes after the 4. Unioto lost to Jackson which was a 5 point game most of the night and took FU to OT in a game anyone watching on both sides said we should’ve won. Also, our other loss is to a ZT team who won a D2 district title last year and returned all 5 starters and healthy we may have won that game.

Not sure if that was decided yesterday or not. There’s another meeting Thursday I believe.

Looks like we could have a rematch game in the sectionals. #1 Jackson vs #8 Warren. Warren is so tough in the sectionals

Yeah, I was just bored and wanted to see if you were paying attention.

While putting together the mock seeding brackets, some of the Competitive Balance #'s caught my eye. Div-IV has the 3 largest CB #'s (South Gallia 43; New Boston 36; Clay 33) in the SE District. The largest in D-II is Fairfield Union at 28. D-III is Coal Grove at 19.

FYI - Competitive Balance applies to players on last year's roster that resided outside of the School District boundaries. (+1 if attended continuously since 7th grade otherwise +5 for each)

Thanks for the work. It’s kinda interesting, kinda not. Doesn’t tell much beyond kids jump around school districts a decent bit but not always for a blockbuster team.

So so much left still.

Be interested to see how the coaches vote between Athens and Waverly

Better hope Marietta isn’t the 12 then or you might not even get to us

Right now I’d seed them:

1. Jackson
2. FU
3. Sheridan
4. Unioto
5. Waverly
6. Athens
7. Warren
8. Logan Elm
9. Vinton Co
10. Marietta
11. Miami Trace
12. Hillsboro
13. Gallia Academy
14. McClain
15. New Lexington
16. River Valley
17. Circleville
18. Washington CH

1-3 still a toss up....not a right or wrong answer IMO

No way. We have @VC, Waverly and Chilly before draw

Not sure Sheridan will lose again.

FU McGill back or coming back?
