Just like the men, the women headed to College Station for a 2-day duel meet against Texas A&M. The Buckeyes fell to the Aggies by a final score of 174-124.

Individual race winners for the Buckeyes included: 1000 Free (Molly Kowal), 200 Back (Kristen Romano), 500 Free (Molly Kowal) and the 400 Free Relay.

Next up, Ohio State will head to Penn State for a duel meet against the host and against Virginia Tech on November 1st and 2nd.

The Buckeyes picked up two nice duel wins over the weekend in at Penn State. Their first duel was against Virginia Tech, in which they defeated 247-106 in dominant fashion. OSU's other duel resulted in a 198-155 victory over host Penn State.

OSU earned victories in the following events: 1000 Free (Molly Kowal), 100 Breast (Hanna Gresser), 400 IM (Katie Trace), and the 200 Free Relay.

Next up, Ohio State will host their own double duel against Kenyon and Akron next Friday.

The ladies dominated their competition over the weekend against #19 Akron and Kenyon (#3 ranked in D3). The Buckeyes defeated Kenyon 254-40, and then defeated Akron 213-85. The Buckeyes picked up 12 individual victories across the numerous events.

Next up, Ohio State will host Denison on Friday.

Just like the men, OSU competed against the 2nd ranked Denison team out of D3. Also just like the men's team, the women won 16 out of 16 events, 14 in the pool and 2 on the diving board.

Next up, Ohio State will host their own invitational next Thursday through Saturday.

Competing in their own fall invitational, the Buckeyes took the victory and first place finish, scoring 2,518.5 points. Following them were Kentucky (2,346.5), Notre Dame (1,790.5), UCLA (1,702.5), Virginia Tech (1,323.5), Yale (1,044), Buffalo (753), and Ohio (466.5).

The Buckeyes picked up victories in the following events: 100 Breast (Hanna Gresser), 100 Free (Freya Rayner), 200 Butterfly (Kathlin Demler), 400 Free (Kathrin Demler), 400 IM (Kathrin Demler), 500 Free (Kathrin Demler), 1,650 Free (Molly Kowal), 200 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay, 3-meter Dive (Genevieve Angerame), Platform Dive (Lexie Barker).

Ohio State's next full team competition will be January 3 when they host a duel against Kentucky.

Just like the men's team, the women's team started off the second half of their season with a victory over #13 Kentucky, and they won 163-156.

Event winners for OSU included: 50 Free (Freya Rayner), 100 Breast (Hannah Bach), 100 Butterfly (Katie Trace), 100 Free (Freya Rayner), 200 Butterfly (Kathrin Demler), 500 Free (Kathrin Demler), 1000 Free (Molly Kowal), 400 Free Relay, 3-meter dive (Mackenzie Crawford), Platform Dive (Mackenzie Crawford).

Next up, Ohio State will go up against Michigan on the 18th.

The Buckeyes ultimately fell to #5 Michigan on Saturday, on senior day in Columbus, by a final score of 165-135.

OSU won the following races: 50 Free (Freya Rayner), 200 Free (Sally Tafuto), 200 IM (Katherin Demler), 400 Free Relay, and 1-meter dive (Mackenzie Crawford).

Next up, Ohio State heads to the Shamrock Invitational at Notre Dame, next Friday and Saturday.

OSU wrapped up their weekend at the Shamrock Invitational, finishing in 2nd place with 975 points. Notre Dame won the meet with 1,114.5 points. Akron finished 3rd with 768 points, and finally was Iowa with 629.5 points. Event winners for the Buckeyes included the following:

50 Free (Amanda Palutsis).

Next up, Ohio State wraps up their duel season when they head to Pittsburgh next Friday.

Although no team scores were kept for their dual yesterday at Pittsburgh, the Buckeyes would have posted a team score victory if that was the case. Both teams competed on both the short-course (yards) and the long-course (meters), as well as diving (which the Buckeyes dominated). Individual event victories included:

The Buckeyes wrapped up their regular season in successful fashion over the weekend, hosting their own meet, the Ohio State Winter Invitational, compete against several solid teams. OSU had victories in the following events:

50 Free - Becca Luft
100 Breast - Leah Baker
100 Free - Becca Luft
200 Butterfly - Sarah Turchanik
200 IM - Sarah Turchanik
200 Free - Meredith Moellering
500 Free - Meredith Moellering
1650 Free - Molly Kowal

Next up, Ohio State will travel to Iowa to compete in the Big Ten Championships, this Wednesday through Saturday.

OSU competed in a successful first day of the Big Ten Championships at Iowa on Wednesday. After that first day of competition, the Buckeyes are currently sitting in 2nd place with a total of 112 points. They are just behind Michigan with 118 points, while Wisconsin sits in third with 108 points. The 200 medley relay team also broke the school record. Day 1 results:

200 Medley Relay - 2nd - **NCAA "A" Qualifying Time
800 Free Relay - 2nd - **NCAA "A" Qualifying Time

Swimming will begin tomorrow at 11am with preliminary sessions, then the finals for those races will be at 6:30pm. Tomorrow's events will include the following: 500 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free, 400 Medley Relay, and 1-meter dive.

After two days of the Big Ten Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, the Buckeyes sit on top of the leaderboard with 561 team points, with Michigan in second with 478 points, and in third is Indiana with 338 points. OSU also had two individual conference champs on the day, as Kathrin Demler won the 500 Free, the first event of the day. As well as Mackenzie Crawford in the 1-meter dive. Remember, in championship swimming, the top 24 athletes in an individual event score points for their team. The following athletes/relays were point receivers in today's action:

On Friday at Iowa, the conference championships will continue with prelims at 11am, and finals at 6:30pm. Tomorrow's events will include the following: 100 Fly, 400 IM, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back, 200 Free Relay, and the 3-Meter Dive.

After day three of the Big Ten Championships, the Buckeyes have increased their lead. They have tallied a total of 1,016 team points, followed by Michigan with 855 points, and in third is Indiana with 680 points. The championships will wrap up on Saturday in Iowa, as a team champion will be crowned. Prelim action will once again begin at 11am, while finals action will begin at 6:30pm. The following events will be contested on the final day: 1650 Free, 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, Platform Dive, and the 400 Free Relay.

Big Ten Champs!! OSU scored a whopping total of 1,503.5 points to take the conference victory, ahead of Michigan who scored 1,306.5. In third place was Indiana with 964 points. The Buckeyes added another individual conference champion in the final day, as Molly Kowal kicked off the finals session this evening by not only winning the 1650 Free, but also setting a new Big Ten Meet record, and a new pool record in the event. Wow,this is the first Swimming @ Diving Championship that the Lady Buckeyes have won in 34 years, made even better by the fact that Michigan finished a very distant second.
