Does burg have Waverly this year as well ??

They have Waverly every year. They are in the same league.

I see 7-3 to 8-2. Tough to beat Ashland at there place. Ironton and Jackson, even though both at home will be tough games. Matthews will be tough to replace. If Nunley and Miller can come back at full strength that will help. I think Burg also has a couple for Sophomore RB's that could see a lot of playing time. I'll leave that at that until the season starts.

Good heavens I knew that 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

They are talented year in, year out. Big school with plenty of athletes to choose. Got one of the best backs in the area. The big obstacle is playing over there. Ask ironton, from last year.

Wasn’t at the game so no idea, but there were people saying the penalty that led to the field goal that Wheelersburg made this year to send it to overtime was questionable.

So yes when you go to Ashland this year you better be 14 points or so better

It was not questionable at all. It was very dumb on the players part. The pass interference call was correct but the ball wasn’t going to be caught and even if it was, he was like 20 yards from the end zone with like a second to go. However burg gave Ashland a gift in regulation. 4 and 17 and burgs safety bit on a ten yard curl route leaving the over the top wide open. It was even but ironton was definitely better than Ashland

The ashland game wasn't terrible with the officiating against ironton maybe a few questionable but that happens in every game. The thing I believe made ironton lose was the fumbles same thing that has cost them every game the last two seasons besides kirtland and burg last year if you ask me. The gallia and Portsmouth game they were up big and couldn't close had a few fumbles in those games and against ashland Pendletons first year they fumbled the ball a few times and lost 14-7

7-3, at best with large margin losses to ironton and Jackson, and a loss to ashland at their place. Could also see 6-4 with Waverly getting them, it's on the road.

You are right. It was fumbles. And if I’m
Not mistaken did Ironton fumble like 3/4X??

On a side note I was told to look for 5-6 sophomores to contribute this year. A couple of surprising physical changes in the last year I'm told

Sophomore class has some talent and their role players are getting better. Burgs line will be better. It’s gonna have to be a collective effort but I think they will have a successful season.

Bout like how tough it is to win at Burg. Don’t forget Ashland got beat on a muffed punt into the end zone that should have been ruled a touchback and not a TD. Inexcusable mistake that cost Ashland the game.

Funny teams that aren’t traditionally very good never seem to be known as a very difficult place to play
Coincidence?
