The Buckeyes start their season tomorrow as they will play a doubleheader against Maryland on Friday and Saturday, just like they will do with conference opponents for the whole season.

The Buckeyes earned two huge victories to start their season over the weekend, both of which were in Columbus, against Maryland. On Friday, OSU picked up a 3-2 (25-21; 18-25; 23-25; 25-15; 15-13) victory. And then, they picked up another victory on Saturday over the Terrapins, 3-2 (24-26; 25-19; 26-24; 24-26; 15-12), which happened to be much closer, with 3 of the 5 sets going into extra points.

Next up, Ohio State was supposed to travel to Penn State on Tuesday, and then host Penn State on Sunday, but both of those matches have been postponed. Their next set of scheduled matches are the following weekend when they travel to Michigan State.

After the cancelation of their two game weekend series against Penn State, the Buckeyes picked up two matches against Michigan State, on the road in East Lansing, for Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, the Buckeyes pulled out a 3-0 (25-17; 25-15; 25-20) dominant victory over the Spartans. Then on Monday, the hosts made it a little more interesting before OSU finally pulled out the series sweep 3-2 (25-22; 20-25; 18-25; 25-13; 15-10).

Next up, Ohio State will host Iowa next Friday and Saturday.

Another big weekend is in the books for the Buckeyes, as they earn their third consecutive series sweep, this time over visiting Iowa. Not only did they win both matches, but they won both of them 3-0, both on Friday and Saturday nights.

Next up, Ohio State will host a single match against Penn State on Wednesday evening, before heading to Illinois for a two match series over the weekend.

The Buckeyes picked up undoubtedly their biggest victory so far of the season on Wednesday night to stay undefeated, as they roared back to defeat #8 Penn State 3-2 (17-25; 13-25; 25-23; 25-22; 15-8). After the first two sets, it looked as if OSU had very little chance of even making this match remotely close, but then put together two tight victories in sets 3 and 4, before clinching the upset victory in the 5th. Emily Londot led the way for the Buckeyes, tallying 23 points, while Mac Podraza chipped in 43 assists. Serena Gray led the Nittany Lions with 15.5 points.

Next up, Ohio State travels to Champaign for a two match weekend series at Illinois, on Friday and Saturday.

So far this season, this Buckeye team seems like the real deal, as they are on the road this weekend, and have secured a victory in their first match of the weekend, defeating a solid Illinois team 3-1 (25-17; 24-26; 25-17; 25-22). Rylee Rader led the OSU attack with 14.5 points, while Gabby Gonzales and Emily London each tallied 14 points. Mac Podraza added in 42 assists for the Buckeyes. Raina Terry led the Fighting Illini with 15 points.

Next up, these two teams will play again on Saturday at 4pm.

The Buckeyes stayed undefeated on the season, but had to show some grit on Saturday to do so, as they trailed 2-1, but came back to defeat Illinois 3-2 (25-22; 16-25; 21-25; 25-18; 15-11). Emily Londot again led OSU with 17 points, followed by 14.5 by Rylee Rader. Mac Podraza had another 40+ assist night, tallying 45 this time.

As Ohio State stays undefeated, they'll next travel to Piscataway for a two match weekend at Rutgers on Friday and Saturday.

What a start to the season for the Buckeyes. They continue their undefeated streak, and advance to 11-0 after winning two matches over the weekend at Rutgers. On Friday, OSU pulled out a 3-0 (25-21; 25-19; 25-19) victory in dominant fashion. Then on Saturday, it was a little tighter, but the Buckeyes ultimately won 3-2 (25-20; 23-25; 25-18; 22-25; 16-14).

Next up, Ohio State will play at Penn State on Wednesday, before hosting two matches against Minnesota next weekend.

A Wednesday night road trip to State College, PA led to another thrilling victory and surprising season sweep for the Buckeyes over #10 Penn State, winning 3-0 (25-18; 25-20; 25-23). The Nittany Lions were able to inch a little bit closer in each set, but OSU was able to hold them off to stay undefeated on the season. Emily Londot tallied 14 points for the Buckeyes to lead the way, while Rylee Rader chipped in 10.5 points. Anastasiya Kudryashova led the PSU attack with 11.5 points.

Next up is a really tough one, as Ohio State returns home for a pair of matches with #5 Minnesota on Friday and Saturday.

The Buckeyes big-time two match series against #5 Minnesota has been postponed this weekend due to several positive COVID tests in the Minnesota program. The B1G is working on a reschedule date for the matches.

The womens team has been on fire. Podraza is the best setter in the big ten and one of the best in the country. Jenaisya Moore is an outside that plays a 6 rotation and she was injured.....Bukilic came in and was a walking hitting error the first couple of matches but has settled in a putting the ball away.

Freshman duo Raider and Londot are 2 of the best hitters in the country.

This OSU women's team is very good and very deep. They will have a tough schedule with Nebraska, Purdue and make up games with Minnesota coming up, but I feel this team could run the table in the regular season.

And for crying out loud......They need to drop Penn State in the polls. We all understand that Russ Rose is the best coach in the game but this PSU team can barely crack .500 and they wont drop them out of the rankings

Although the Buckeyes lost for the very first time this season, it was still a successful weekend. On Friday came OSU's first loss as they fell to #4 Nebraska 3-2 (21-25; 21-25; 25-20; 25-20; 15-10). Even though they gave up a big lead on Friday, the Buckeyes pulled together and then earned a 3-2 (25-20; 22-25; 21-25; 25-21; 15-13) victory over the Cornhuskers on Saturday.

Next up will also be a big weekend, as Ohio State will host two matches against rival Michigan on Friday and Saturday.

The Buckeyes remarkable season continued over the weekend in Columbus, as they swept rival Michigan. On Friday, OSU picked up a 3-1 (25-22; 24-26; 25-16; 25-23) victory. And then on Saturday, the Buckeyes shut out the Wolverines, winning 3-0 (25-17; 25-20; 25-17) in dominant fashion.

Next up will be a tough one, as Ohio State will host two matches against a really good team in Purdue on Friday and Saturday.

It was by far their worst weekend of the season, as the Buckeyes lost both matches for the first time this year. On Friday, they fell 3-1 (20-25; 25-22; 25-22; 25-22) and then again 3-1 (20-25; 26-24; 25-21; 25-18) on Saturday.

Next up, Ohio State wraps up their regular season this coming weekend with two matches at Indiana.

The Buckeyes had what was supposed to be their final series of the regular season canceled over the weekend against Indiana. Now, it's time for the Buckeyes to return to the NCAA Tournament. After a stellar regular season, OSU has earned the #9 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, and has received a bye in the first round. In the second round, they will play the winner in the match between Missouri (ranked #25 in the final regular season poll) and South Dakota. The first round match-up will take place April 14 at Noon. The second round match-up for the Buckeyes will be the 15th at Noon.

OSU opened up the NCAA tournament with a 3-0 (25-17; 25-20; 25-21) victory over #25 Missouri in the 2nd Round. With that win, the Buckeyes move onto the Sweet 16 (Third Round) against #8 Florida, where they are currently battling the Gators.
