Unioto just too physical for my dogs. Good luck the rest of the way

We were on another level physically than we have been for about a month. Little still isn’t himself and may not get there by season end but we had some kids step up and play big tonight.

Ours isn’t any easier. Sheridan next week and if we win that we will most likely have Warren. We can do it, just have to play our best ball of the year. We’ve had some great games against some very good teams - have to bring it next week.

About those covid issues.......?????
In all seriousness, wtf happened? For real. I was in the gym with baseball from 6-8:30 and we had it on a speaker, but you can't run practice and listen to a game at the same time. I heard scores of 15-10, then 22-10 and that was about it. And every time our athletic trainer would step into the gym, I would give him the shrugged shoulders/palms out asking what was up and all he would do was shake his head.

I thought I spelled it out pretty good. I usually don't miss games, but I'm on baseball staff so didn't make it tonight and I'm asking for someone to give a good rundown. Our AT was in the building tonight during practice and I knew he had the live stream on. Every time he popped into the gym, I motioned to him asking about the game. His response was a negative head shake. As I said in earlier posts, careless turnovers have been an issue all year long for this team. I'm going to assume that was part of the problem tonight. What else? As you mentioned earlier, physicality a big part.

This is honestly around where I expected this game to be. TVC is very, very down. Trimble and Fed Hock were the best 2 teams in the TVC and they’re not even on the same side as Athens. Both of those teams can make noise in D4, but Athens being in a loaded D2 is a completely different world.

Unioto played in a very competitive SVC.

Best of luck to Unioto as they move forward.

Maybe the covid issues at the beginning threw me off.

I think our pressure caused a lot of those turnovers but there were definitely some unforced errors. Athens defensive rotations didn’t seem sharp to me which led to a lot of easy baskets for us. We also held whiting to 1 basket. He did get 8 extra from the foul line tho. He earned every one tonight. Nice player tho and solid athlete. We were just better tonight. Hardest I’ve seen us play in a while. May be Wrong but I heard we had 17 offensive rebounds tonight

After the Westfall game, you knew Unioto was going to be a bear and it wasn't going to be pretty. Congrats to the U, and we'll see you up here next week.

I'm still trying to figure out how Unioto was a 7 seed.

As a 2 seed, I dont think LE got a very good draw here. Just my observation.

Nice win for Unioto! Hopefully they can bring that same Physicality and intensity to a tough Logan Elm team. Never easy winning @ LE.

It’s great to see others step up the way they have while Little is regaining his strength. Last night we just played so hard and so tough and the ball wasn’t sticking to anyone’s hands on offense. It seemed like every basket we had was assisted on. It really was a fun game for us. That game had the makings on paper to be a lot closer and our kids just weren’t having it. From the start our defense was just so intense. Athens just looked shocked.
