Plenty of time and never even attempted a shot.... That was..... strange.
Scoreboard said they were out of timeouts. I was thinking same thing which was only reason I checked! Congrats to New Boston...survive and advance*

Great game by NB thought they were gonna blow it by missing some front ends of the bonus but they held on and IMO they should handle Hiland I watched both games and if NB doesn't have a bad game they should advance to Dayton

I enjoy doing it.

D3 has 1 Regional already set

Region 9

Norwayne 55 New Middletown Springfield 49
Lutheran East 74 Cardinal Mooney 31.

The other 3 all play tomorrow.

3 D1 Regionals are tomorrow with the Columbus Regional going Thursday with D2.

1 D1 Regional game is in the Books

Lima Senior gets a walk over Toledo St Johns.

Contact Tracing. Apparently Anthony Wayne came down with Covid after playing St Johns in the District Finals and St Johns is out of tomorrow’s Regional Semi. It’s a Cluster

They had no timeouts left and honestly I think they wasted a HUGE one right before end of the 3rd they stole the ball and got a layup with like 30 seconds left and some reason they called a :30 TO. It was really strange they called it there and left them with 1 timeout entering the 4th.

Not trying to take anything away from New Boston's win --- Sexton was fantastic yet again.

But Grandview was very down for a regional team. Of all the years I've watched the D4 SE Region, I haven't seen many teams like Grandview. Some decent athletes and some size downlow. But not very skilled for what you'd expect from a regional team --- especially coming from Columbus.... But that's what happens when the Worthington Christian/Africentric/Harvest Prep/Wellington's of the world all jumped to D3 due to competitive balance (isn't it insane to think that all 4 of those were in D4 just a few short years ago?!?)

Anxious to see if New Boston can get over the hump and take down Berlin Hiland.

To be fair the 2018 team that The Central District sent was worse: 12-14 Fairfield Christian Academy.

And the 2019 Berne Union team.....

Last year Grandview Heights was the exception since those teams you mentioned moved up.

That is very true, I forgot about the Fairfield team.

Last years Grandview team was loaded for sure.

O RLY?

It’s weird how the few times SE beats Central in D4 regional (Grandview ‘21, BU ‘19) it happens because those teams are considered ‘not good.’ Especially when both wins are from a program whose CB# is higher than their 9-11 EMIS count. Pleasantly ironic twist after years of reading SEOPs and seeing folks complain about Africentric, FCA, Newark Catholic, GCC, Harvest Prep and Wellington when those teams came up in Regionals.

I think you might slightly be misconstruing what I was trying to say.... all of SEO basketball fans got used to an absolutely LOADED team coming down from the D4 Central district each year (Wellington, Harvest, WC, Africentric etc).. the teams we see come down now are obviously nowhere near that level (which I'm thankful for!). I mean, is it really wrong to state the obvious that Grandview Heights this year was nowhere near the above mentioned 4 schools when they came down for the regional 2007-2017 ish years?

In terms of the CB number for NB you're not going to get much argument from many posters around here
