Re: Week 11: 9-1 Vinton County @ 8-2 Gallia Academy
Just 2 different level of football being played last night. Vinton wouldn’t want to play Gallia every year

VC has some decent size, but as seen on film they were very slow. No game breakers.

Yeah. That was a simple case of completely being overmatched by speed. I thought VC might be able to answer some with physicality, but the boys in blue played very physical up front as well. What a great game by the Blue Devils!

Gallia needs to stay put in the OVC. The league that accepted them when the SEOAL was folding. The one and only benefit to joining the TVC would be the ever so slightly shorter travel distances. The OVC has the edge in basically every other category. Most notably, the superior competition.
If Gallia ever does drop the annual matchup with Meigs, the top priority should be getting Jackson back on the schedule. Athens, Point Pleasant, and Jackson would be three solid non-league opponents for a division 4 Gallia Academy. Longtime rivals and larger schools that would help to level a division 5 heavy schedule.

I don't believe there has been any talks of Gallia leaving the OVC has there?Vegeta wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 10:10 pm Gallia needs to stay put in the OVC. With Ironton leaving, Gallia should win the OVC 8 out of 10 years.greygoose wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 10:14 pmI don't believe there has been any talks of Gallia leaving the OVC has there?Vegeta wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 10:10 pm Gallia needs to stay put in the OVC. I’d say it would be similar in the TVC. With less travel and more fans in the stands.
