Very much looking forward to this season.

Interested to see if Ironton’s independence pays off. Many have said being in the OVC has held IHS down and not prepared them for the playoffs. Their 2024 schedule is a massive step up and will truly test this theory.
I think it was just some of the other schools wanting them gone from the ovc rather than it holding them down
Because they kept saying they couldn't compete with Ironton.

I'm glad Ironton went independent, I would rather see them get to pick who they play. Now they can pick up games with some of the better teams and some their old Rivals.

After a couple more losses to ironton .i can see wheelersburg not wanting to play ironton anymore. Just because of the stress, it causes all of their fans that cry recruiting .as they type away in their mother's basement.

If you truly believe that, you don’t understand the culture at Burg.

Ashland and Ironton stopped playing and those two are much closer than Burg is to Ironton so never say never

Very true, but I don’t see Burg deciding to end it. Practically it would be stupid to do so.

As for being an underdog, that won’t deter Burg. They love playing the underdog card even when they are not.

Not sure people are crying, just pointing out ironton can’t develop their own talent. They have to go get other teams talent in order to be successful. They would still be going 5-5 with there own kids, just own it
So Ashland is home grown? Get out of here! 🤣 Remember a few years ago when some kids Transferred from Ironton to Ashland (Vass era) who cares where the kids play. Let them play, grow up and accept its transferring not recruiting

I thought people got banned for making false or unfounded accusations involving kids on seops?

Is it ok to slander Ironton student athletes only? Someone tag the mod so we can get exact clarification on that.

This looks an awful lot like false allegations against student athletes.

Checking competitive balance points for area teams the State gave Wheelersburg 18 and Ironton 24. Those points are figured on the number of transfers and a very complicated rule. There was one team out of Columbus with a huge amount. May have been a private school.

For 2024 season, Burg CB is 13 and IHS CB is 23.

As for how CB is calculated, high school transfers that move into the district count as zero where a kid that transfers in high school but doesn’t move into the district counts as 2.

Private schools are definitely impacted the most by this since so many of their students do not move into their designated school district.

If they do, no transfers have yet moved into them for 2024 season.

No transfers yet nor any rumors of transfers.

Would this basically mean Ironton is a more desired destination for talented area transfers?

You sure did benefit from the recruit you got last year.
