Minford coaching job

Post by Lovehoops4 »

This job was just posted as open who does the seop community brings in this job. Very overlooked in my opinion with some players who can win them games like Tate Johnson Carter frazee Curtis Glenn Ashton reeder Ty Borland Mark Napier. Also two big men on the jv side who weren’t the best but brought presence with there size.

Coaches who could have the job.
1.Jd King after having above average season’s at green maybe looking to test his talents at a bigger school
2. Ryan Fenton after being under norm wing these last couple season he is experienced and I think he can turn minford into something very good in these next season and lots of rumors of him applying for the itown job he might be looking at having full control of his own team.
3. Doug willams has been rumored in the last two years to move on from western but Kamryn James and drew haggy were a main reason to stay at western I would not be suprised to see Doug take his talents to the Soc 3 and try to fight for another Soc title or be a dark horse come playoff time.

I would be shocked to see Fenton leave Webster

Have to think Minford alum Kyle Pertuset at least gives it some consideration. He’s only a year in at Lynchburg-Clay after a few years at Cambridge, but it’s a good job that may not come open for several years depending on who ends up in the role.

I have to think the opportunity to bring in all of your own staff is a positive. I hope Minford chooses a good young coach and not someone who’s only going to be in for a few years and done.

I also think there’s more talent than some think coming back. Not near 2024, but I don’t think it’s an empty cupboard.

I'm sure he will as an Alum. It's really late in the process, so hopefully they get someone in quickly. If it is another coach from another school I feel bad for that other school.

Possible, but 2 things with him. His son playing college ball and i don't think his job allows him to be a H/C.

Minford should of saw this coming and already had the eye on some potential coaches.

Definitely a hot destination. Coming off of the final 4 run, while losing a lot of talent there still is plenty of it in minford. Have been hearing of two alumni’s giving it a thought of putting in for the job. Kyle Pertueset and Matthew Gullett

I agree about brining Alumni back but like you said what does their resume look like? I don't think the Pertuset guy has had a winning record at any of his stops. Does the Gullet kid have any varsity head coaching experience or any JV experience?

Gullett was the JV head coach at green and then went with Scarberry back to Northwest and was the varsity assistant

Jared Alley? I had to look I didn’t realize he was an assistant there. Wonder if he’s in education somewhere?
