Minford coaching job
Re: Minford coaching job
Some of these hiring practices are Not good. Pretty much everyone in the State should have a Coach by now.
Re: Minford coaching job
Probably should of been a plan in place. I can confirm Ryan Fenton is NOT a candidate as he did not apply, as for who is, I do not know.E High wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 4:25 pm Some of these hiring practices are Not good. Pretty much everyone in the State should have a Coach by now.

Everyone should have their coaching positions filled for the 2025-2026 school year but school boards have to follow rules on hiring as spelled out by state laws and union labor agreements. Throw in the timing of the prior coach stepping down and the availability or lack of teaching positions to entice a candidate and you have the potential for delays in hiring. That of course does not even consider the local "good old boy" deal making in the background that happens in most communities.
They say nothing is impossible, yet I accomplish nothing every day.

Agree with all of that, but a lot of these jobs have been open for 4-7 weeks. Move on schools. Ohio State. Michigan football. NC Duke. Basketball Have had way less Drama in the last 3-4 years then some of high schools. Hire a coach and Move on. Incredible bad process at more than some schools.

Re: Minford coaching job
Minford has hired a new head basketball coach. To be approved at the next school board meeting next week. Last job was coaching small college ball on the girls side. More details to come I’m sure.

Perdas? If so, glad to see a local boy (South Webster grad) getting a shot.GoAt 10 wrote: Wed Jun 04, 2025 3:54 pm Minford has hired a new head basketball coach. Whoever it ends up being though, I hope the Minford fans/parents give the new coach time (at least 3-4 years) to establish their own program as Montgomery, Kayser, and Shoemaker aint walking through that door next year.*

Re: Minford coaching job
. Not surprised. Took 2 months for this. Seen many of these hires last 15-20 years. Guys jump from job to job with little success. And yet they keep getting hired over and over. Administration and/boards generally believe they are the Smartest people in the Room.Waverlyguru01 wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:10 pmIf its him he hads jumped around all over and.got ran off from the college job after 1 year. Re: Minford coaching job
Maybe, maybe not. But that not long enough to give a coach a chance to build a program.
I didn’t like the Diebler hire as tOSU bball coach, and still don’t. But he deserves a couple more years to build a program before they move on from him.*
