- Ironton, Marietta,Wheelersburg, Logan Elm, Peebles higher

I think Marietta and Wheelersburg are both going to end up as top 5 teams, if not top 3 by the end of the season.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #6
Wheelersburg maybe No. 5 or 6 now due to a limited schedule, but they would be solid favorites over several teams ahead of them. As for Marietta, why not top 3 now? Their only losses to teams that nobody else in the East or Southeast would beat. Tigers strength of schedule better than most ahead of them. Ironton I think I'd have a top 5 as well. And finally, I'm taking Peebles by 7 against Eastern Brown, although not confident about that one. This is an opinion board. These are mine for now.danicalifornia wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 12:47 am I think Marietta and Wheelersburg are both going to end up as top 5 teams, if not top 3 by the end of the season.

Can someone break pfloyd’s rankings down based on their division rankings? I know last year someone would break them down. If not, no big deal!

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #6
Because D-III is combined this year (Southeast 8 teams, East 5 teams) we effectively have a mixed 13-team district. That's why a previous posting outlined all 13 teams.pfloyd wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 2:05 pm... Maybe a week or so early on the Burg playing only 4 games, but any answer as to why Marietta isn’t top 3 — maybe even a case to be made for No. 1? Eastern Brown should get a narrow win Tuesday night. We’ll see.SouthEast Hoops Fan wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 7:02 amWheelersburg maybe No. 5 or 6 now due to a limited schedule, but they would be solid favorites over several teams ahead of them. I was wondering how Ironton could be ranked ahead of Burg after a rather decisive Burg victory over the Tigers last week.Hookshot wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 8:12 pmMaybe a week or so early on the Burg playing only 4 games, but any answer as to why Marietta isn’t top 3 — maybe even a case to be made for No. 1? Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #6
I wouldn’t call it decisive at all. A tie ballgame late in the 4th that was stretched out late due to free throws. Objectively, it was a very good win for Burg, but Ironton did not shoot it well and it was at home for Wheelersburg. Not taking anything away from the win, especially due to having limited practice time due to the playoff run. Wheelersburg will have plenty of games upcoming to prove their worth. Pfloyd in ye I trust.
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #6
It was definitely a competitive basketball game, not one sided at all. But considering Burg only had a few games under their belt after their long postseason football run, I thought it was even more impressive that they handled Ironton with far more game experience at this point in the season. And try to give the Pirate D a little credit for that poor Ironton shooting performance lol123xxx wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 9:03 pm I wouldn’t call it decisive at all. Did Burg ever trail in this game? Honest question because I wasn’t there, just read an online game summary somewhere.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #6
Courthouse beats the one team that hadn’t lost close to 30 regular season games in a row. And they only jump up to number 18
when most of the other teams wouldn’t stand a chance against court house. They’re only losses are #1 Jackson(very close game), #3 Circleville and while the score might’ve been a blowout if you were at the game circleville obviously got very hot very early but after that it was neck and neck. And a oakwood team that would smoke most of the teams in SEO. Beating the reigning consensus number #1 team that reigned for 1.5 season has got to at least get you into the top 10.
