Surfing around the net I ran into some Ed Thompson stats as linebacker at OSU. I did not realize how many tackles he generated as a two year starter for the Buckeyes, and that he was a team captain and did garner some all Big Ten honors. . Yet Thompson's name rarely comes up in OSU lore. Still not bad for a 180 pound quarterback out of Glenwood High School in New Boston in the very early 1970's
