Girls D3 should be competitive for the top 16......maybe some slightly better qualifying times than usual.

I'll predict 22:42 being the cutoff time for advancing individually for the D3 girls. Around 40 girls have beat that time but many were on far faster and flatter courses than Rio. I think the hill being done 2 times will get some of those runners and knock em back where they don't believe they should be.
Good Luck to all runners.

D3 Boys cutoff 18:50
d2 Boys cutoff 18:45
Winner of both races will be under 17:00

Who in D3 will go under 17:00?
Gardner? Monroe? Wolfe? Gates?
I agree....a couple of runners might crack 17:00...but I won't be greatly surprised to see 17:05-17:08 win it.
Should be fun!

Since there is only one race in DII, the top 16 boys will be well under 18:45, probably 17:30 or so. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a spread of less than 50 points for the teams in the 3rd-8th places. The race is going to be interesting to say the least.
As for the DII girls, I suspect 21:00 will be pretty close to the cut-off.
Needless to say, I just hope enough schools bring full teams so we can get our second district race back for both the boys and girls in DII.

A few 9th graders may be in the hunt and a few of the guys above have been beaten by some of them.

I know they have. Some of those freshman run darn near perfect races...and are very talented as well.
