I am beginning to think that the Championship game just might be an old Big East reunion...
U Conn vs Miami
Just a thought..
The Canes have to beat #2 Texas first....

You might be right. I have been unable to watch much more than highlights, but UConn looks to be the best of the survivors. The start of youth baseball occupies my February through June.

Jim Larranaga...who took James Mason to the final 4. This might be his year...

They said he would be the oldest coach to win a championship. I wonder who the oldest coach is to make a Final Four? Maybe our buddy
@Omega would know the answer to that.

Among the usual suspects in modern history, I was thinking John Wooden, but he was 64 when he made and won his last Final Four. Maybe Coach K? He was 74, same age as Larranaga. It might come down to counting the number of days old.

U Conn is the new odds on favorite to cut down the nets. That being said...I'm going with Coach Larranaga and the 'Canes-their opponent Sat. night. Gotta get a W for the ACC.

I believe they won all 6 games by double digits. The Aztecs went 0-11 from field during a 5 minute stretch (I think)...while U Conn outscored them 16-2. That was it as the teams played pretty even from there on out
It's the 5th Natty for the Huskies. Rarified air as UCLA with 11..followed by Kentucky with 8...N. Carolina with 6 and Indiana/Duke with U Conn joining the 5 club. Guess one would have to add U Conn to the "Blue Bloods" list.
Time for a long break now. A Blessed Easter to all of you and your families.
I'm looking forward to a one week stay in a condo next week. Pet friendly too...so Abe can have some fun on the beach!!
I'll talk to you folks again in mid August....Go Noles!!!
