Biggest issue for OSU will be replacing Christian Bryant.

NW under Pat Fitzgerald is 1-8 coming off a bye week.

Meyer said the coaches have to work on having a killer instinct, and not closing games like they did against Wisconsin.

Bucks roll through and beat NW by 20+.

I'll take the buckeye by atleast 2 TDs. Ohio state should move the ball well against the Northwestern D and score the points. Northwestern offense can put points on the board as well but I think the osu D plays well and keeps them contained.

Replacing Christian Bryant will be huge, but if someone steps up to the challenge the D will be fine. The secondary won't be put on a island in man coverage again this time plus there will be no Jared abbrederis, thankfully!

OSU handle Cal easier then Northwestern did, but for some reason I think it will be another close game since its at night over there, but I hope you all are right and OSU just blows them away.

I think the Buckeyes will win, and I'm glad that they had a close game vs. Wisconsin to open Big Ten play. That should help them going on the road facing a good team. Christian Bryant is a big loss, but I would have to think OSU has enough depth at that position to adequately fill that spot.

IMO, the Buckeyes have the best offensive line in college football this year. Personally, I think OSU will win the game but it may be tight early.

Wildcats are a great story this year but Bucks have too many studs for them. OSU by 17.

Dan, I don't think NW is as bad as you think but you have to play the team on the schedule.

If NW had Bama's schedule, they would currently have one loss.
How it would finish would be different, but they would still finish with 8-9 wins.

Scratch that, Northwestern would finish with 9-10 wins with Bama's 2013 schedule.

seo fan -- feel free to compare it Georgia's or LSU's OR Florida's .. you handpick Bama because this is the year they rotate away from a couple top SEC teams but still yet they played a road game against a top ten team in Texas Am and in the end will play SEVERAL top 15 teams while the bucks or no one else in the big ten will sniff anything like that.

If I'm going to be critical of any part the OSU team, it is the Offensive line. They must stay much more focused. Norwell needs to quit jumping the count not to mention, Wisconsin beat them like a drum in the 4th quarter. Stopping both Hyde and Miller on almost every play. Entering the 4th quarter Miller had 89 rushing yards, he finished with 82, falling to 75 at one point.

I compare them to Bama's schedule, because you're a Bama fan talking about NW being bad.
NW also beat an SEC team in a bowl game, in an SEC state.

When the media places every sec team in the top 25 and half in the top 10 then your gonna have those match ups. Don't get me wrong, there is some great teams in the sec. Should South Carolina been ranked a top 10 team? I don't, they have been far from impressive other than a decent showing against UGA. They played poorly against the rest of the schedule and won by 3 against UCF and didn't drop, like osu did last season when they beat UCF by 15. That's the kind of differences made. They made ole miss out to be a top 25 team because they beat a shitty Texas team.

Bama, TAMU, LSU and UGA are solid teams. The rest of the teams in the conference offer very little
