If they had a tougher schedule they never would have been in the title picture. But yeah the QB sucks.

True or False
Ohio State needs to pick up some big time recievers like Ginn and Gonzalos.
Ohio State needs to find a Tight End who they can throw to when needed on short yardage and tough situation.
Ohio State should let Brandon Zaine play some more Wide reciever.

I think that is an upgrade in your nonconference schedule, playing what will be the #1 ranked team in the nation at their place in week 3 next year.

Ohio State needs to recruit more speed (false**)
Ohio State needs to replace T.B. at QB in 2008 (true)
*OSU does need to upgrade the schedule for next year because they'll be a legit top 5 team and they need to prepare themselves better for the NT game next year when/if they get there. this year's weak schedule wasnt so bad considering it was supposed to be a "rebuilding year"
**Speed didnt play much of a factor tonight. but when you miss 3 tackles on one play, it certainly makes the ball carrier look fast compared to our players.

Ohio State needs to upgrade the non-league schedule playing the weak one they have is not getting it done (true) Youngstown, Akron and Kent State will not get you prepared for the big time.
Ohio State needs to recruit more speed (true) LSU and Florida's receivers seemed so much faster than OSU. Speed kills.
Ohio State needs to replace T.B. at QB in 2008(false). Boeckman is adequate. He was running for his life all night. Another year of maturity can only help him. Is he Troy Smith? No.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU, I FEEL BOECKMAN IS A GREAT QB. HE HAS THRILLED ME ALL YEAR, I FELT HE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED IN THE HEISMAN RACE , MYSELF, AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGED. HE HAD A WONDERFUL YEAR. BUT IT'S HARD TO OPERATE , WHEN THE BLOCKING ISN'T THERE. LAST NIGHT, SPEED DID KILL. YOU CAN'T PASS FROM YOUR BACK, OR SCRAMBLING AS RECIEVERS ARE BLANKETED, AND YOU ARE RIGHT, YOU CAN ONLY MAINTAIN A BLOCK SO LONG, BEFORE YOU EITHER HAVE TO HOLD, OR LET YOUR MAN BY.

Dude where have you been? Yes they scheduled USC about 5 years ago.
As for the question I say true to all. First of all I believe we have plenty of speed but some of the lineman are not quick enough. i think Boone is good but that elephant Rehring at LG isn't getting it done(he also had two stupid penalties last night that killed two OSU drives). Hopefully one of the freshmen coming in next year beats him out for the spot. We also need a playmaker at WR. Robo is good but he is not a great WR. Ray Small needs to step up big time next year because Robo and Hartline can't do it all. And last night wasn't all Boeckmans fault but he did panic too much and last night was not the time to do so. The Buckeyes will definitely be a better team next year but they will need to get it together if they want to beat USC in LA next year!

I'M NOT HARPING ON THE SCHEDULE, THESE ARE MADE YEARS IN ADVANCE, DUE TO AVAILABILITY. AND COORDINATING OPEN DATES. THIS YEARS NON -CONFERENCE MAY HAVE SEEMED WEAKER.
BUT DON'T FORGET TRESS IS GIVING THESE OHIO SCHOOLS MUCH NEEDED FUNDS BY PLAYING THE BUCKEYES. GETTING THROUGH THE BIG TEN, IS BEAST ENOUGH. BUT AS YOU CAN SEE, THEY GOT BIGGER TEAMS ROLLING IN, JUST AROUND THE HORIZON. THEY ARE IN FACT D1 FOOTBALL PROGRAMS.
I KNOW YOUNGSTOWN, WAS NOT. BUT I WAS THERE, I WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY THE YOUNGSTOWN PENGUINS EFFORT. ESPECIALLY THE GOAL LINE STANDS, WHEN SEVERLY OUTWEIGHED. YSU. IS A FORCE TO BE DEALT WITH IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS, HECK, THEY ALWAYS ARE.
