Rio Grande upsets #5 Mt. Vernon

Mt. Vernon Nazarene Univ., ranked 5th in the nation in NAIA, came into Rio with a 15-2 record.. Rio came out on fire and handed them an 81-67 defeat.. The Redmen, 7-12 played excellent defense for the most part, and had some runs offensively when they needed to.
Rio's 2 big men, Will Norwell and Brandon Ivory combined for 40 points.. P.J. Rase had another excellent game with 15 points, 6 assists, 3 steals and 5 rebounds.
Rio hosts Walsh Saturday at 4:00 pm.. Walsh is 15-2 and 4-0 in the conference.
Congrats to the Redmen from Rio Grande on a great game.......Big crowd.... Good game..........Lots of excitement.

WATCHING rio play at wellston pj rase did'nt look all that into the game but why doe's he need to look like hes into it when he lights every 1 up..

P.J. Rase isn't flashy, but gets the job done.. He is shooting close to 50% from behind the arc, hitting 53 three's so far this season.. Rio is young, with just one senior on their roster.

where is Mt.Vernon located??

Mt. Vernon is located in central Ohio.... North of Columbus in Knox Co.

I think Rase does a good job. Smart player who can flat out shoot.
