Educator: I'm gonna tell one on the bagboy. When he was little, he wore out the cassette from the KH. He used to sing to the top of his lungs Dumas Walker. He was nicknamed that from some in my dad's family because he knew every word and sang it as loud as he could at about 2-3 yrs old. He rocked the house, literally. You need to ask his friends about the rockin' thing. It's a story in itself!

On topic: I'm with you, I love Dumas Walker, but, I also love their rendition of Spirit in the Sky!

The Educator wrote:Mum, I guess then tomorrow night I will yelling "Go Dumas" when he gets the ball. That is too funny.

She was true to her word, too, Mum.
I heard her at the game yelling. "GO DUMBASS".... "GO DUMBASS". !!!

(She's about half blonde ya know). :-D

They were in Ironton 10 or so years ago at the Regattafest and put on a great show.

I didn't know they had covered "Trashy Women". Which CD is it on? Confederate RR did it first, as far as I know, back in 1992 or so.

Anyway, some of my favorite KY Heads hits...

Dumas Walker
Honky Tonk Walkin'
Dixie Fried

and some covers that they did...

Walk Softly On This Heart Of Mine
Spirit In The Sky

I liked Dumas walker so much that I went to the actual restaurant that the song was based onthe Greasy Spoon Diner. it's just a little hole on the wall in the downtown district of Greensburg, Ky

The slawbuger was great the fries I could have done without. and a bottle of skeet was all they served to drink.
