thanks to all , who were praying for me. i went to my optomologist this past thursday. for a full cornea exam. i've had 3 cornea transplants from an eye disease called keratoconus. (a disease where your cornea , takes on a cone shape)making it impossible to see, and you eventually go blind. which i was for 3 years. i've been experiencing eye problems of late , and saw a local dr. thinking i may have some stitches loose in my eye. well it was not sutures, but a change in my eye shape had caused an irregular fit with my hard contacts. and they were very concerned with the blood vessels in my left eye , whether they were active or not. if the veins meet in the middle , your cornea can reject. and mine are close. but tests were ran, and it was determined the veins are inactive. so i won't have to have another cornea transplant. i can see well in my contacts , when i can wear them. but i need to cut back on my wearing time. so they are making me a pair of glasses, not normal by any means, because corneal transplant patients can't see in glasses. but with these, i'll be able to see 3 to 4 feet, reasonably well. so i'll now have a temporary relief , when i cannot tolerate my contact lenses, to at least see tv. i don't know yet if i'll be able to use them for computer use, as i did not do well in the trioal pair up close, but i can live with it. thanks every body , for your prayers, i was not looking forward to going through yet another cornea transplant, 3's enough. thanks again, god bless you. YTB. 8)

hopefully the glasses help you.. I am very nearsighted and they have told me my eyes are as stretched as they can get... if my floaters get worse to get to them asap.. gee I already thought they were bad but they said no.. I can't say I know what you are going through but I feel for you!
Good luck! keep us updated.

I am so happy for you. I know you were worried. Even if your glasses are coke bottle thickness and they cost a small fortune, it is worth it to be able to see.

at least i'll be able to watch tv in them if i can't wear my lenses that day. it should save a lot of wear on my corneas. because the contacts are hard gas perm lenses. they are the only kind you can wear, if you are a keratoconus patient, but they don't really fit , like a normal contact lens wearer. bless those of you that have responded, with prayer, and well wishes. yes, prayer does work.
