Courtney Merritt of Valley High School has been involved in a very serious accident this morning, she is at cabell huntington hospital now. From what I have heard she was pulled off the side of the road to wipe her windshield in an area really bad for blinding people, another car came up from behind and didn't see her and ran into her car which in turn hit her while she was out. Both are students at valley, I won't release the other students name because i am not sure if he is being cited for this or if there any legal issues, I am pretty positive there is not but wanting to stay safe.

Courtney as many of you know is a very well rounded athlete in volleyball, track and basketball. However those of us who know her know her as a young girl with a ton of integrity. She loves going to church and telling people about God and how great he is. She has been offered scholarship in track for her high jump records so let's pray that her injury is better and that she can continue on in a normal way. She is a firm believer of prayer, so they will be greatly appreciated. She is an awesome person!
