I have seen both teams play.......Chillicothe's physical front line will pose problems for the Fighting Tigers, but I think overall that Ironton is quicker than the Cavaliers. Both teams are deep, with the size edge going to CHS. It will be interesting to see if Chillicothe will run with the Tigers........

I believe the starting 5's will go like this........

Chillicothe:

Seth Dawes 6-5 senior
Ron Smith 6-5 senior
Jordan Benson 6-4 senior
Caleb Knights 6-1 senior
Michael Turner 5-9 junior

Ironton:

Michael Lamb 6-5 senior
Jonathan Sweickhart 6-3 senior
Tim Kochendorfer 6-3 junior
Lucas Morris 6-0 senior
Dustin Green 6-2 senior

This game will be very important as to who will win the SEOAL South.....since both teams are going to win a lot of games...........of course my Trojans will have something to say about the South race as well...........

It wasn't very hot last night at Conley gym.......I think that IHS is saving the HEAT for Jan.9th against Portsmouth...........

This will be a great early season matchup. I agree that Ironton wins at home. If your going to beat Chilly do it now because they seem to improve as the season goes on. I think this year from top to bottom the league is stronger than last year. It wont be as top heavy with Chilly and Zaneville dominating everyone. I feel this years winner will have a least 2 losses in conference.

with all the pull you have in IRONTON, being the mayor and all,see if you can get that heat below 100 this year in the Conley Center

We have heard Ironton is very good. I don't think they will score 76 though. If they do, CAVS go down.

Sounds to me like it's going to be a defensive battle, therefore it should be a low scoring game.

Havent had a chance to see any play time from either team. Both teams have some changes from last year though. Some for the better, some for the worse. However I do see the Cavs not taking ANY team they play lightly, cause they know they are everyones target. That said : CAVS 65/ Ironton 62

Its a shame Chilly has only played 1 game. They could use the experience coming into Ironton. I just read where Cin. North College Hill (Chilly's only game) is nowhere near as good as past years. They are 2-2 with wins coming vs teams with a combined 1-6 record. Chilly may not be what everyone expects this year. We shall find out very soon.

This will be a good test for Ironton.

I hope it don't come down to free throws.

I guess we'll see,

scooterdawg and nickle back are you guys coming to the game ????

You just might be surprised how good the Tigers really are this season.

Sounds like both teams play a swarming type of Defense.

GO TIGERS.........

I will be going to Waverly to watch an old teammate coach against Oak Hill. For some reason I just like the Cavs to continue their winning ways. Best of luck to the tigers but hopefully the Cavs prevail.
