After seeing them play Waterford I'll have to go with the Tornadoes by at least 15.

Southern played very well last night, but lets not forget two things.
1. More than likely, most of the week practice was aimed towards Waterford, so there is probably not a ton of preporation for Wahama.
2. The game is at Wahama! Enough said!!

Halftime:
Wahama 32
Southern 27
Absolutely no defense on Southern's part in the first half. The Whitlatch kid from Wahama has lit them up for 14 in the first half, including 4 three pointers.
Southern either needs to go man, or box and one on him. Transition defense has been non-existent for the tornadoes.
Another half of basketball, so let's get it going Southern.

Wahama is 1-8. They really stepped it up in this one. They probably think the bridge should have red lights

75-73 Southern, in 3OT.
They dodged the big old bullet!!
What a great effort from a 1-8 Wahama team. They are much better than what their record shows.
Very exciting game to listen to, once again, a great job from our friends at 92.1, "The Frog"!!!! You guys did exceptional work, again! I really appreciate it.
Southern was very fortunate to go on the 14-0 run, to put them in the lead, at 50-49.
Some poor decisions on the part of your opponents, and the Doe's hard play, overcame the deficit.
Nice move by Coach Caldwell to go to the 1-3-1 zone. That created havoc for the Falcons, and lead to that 14-0 run that I previously mentioned.
Now, while the Whitlach kid didn't score much in the second half, coach, why in the world would you not plan for a double screen to let him throw one up at the end of the first OT? My only critique of the coaching tonight.
Otherwise, great game to listen to, lots of excitement. Congrats to the Tornadoes!

I was there, and Wahama has nothing to be ashamed of. I was totally shocked to hear when I was leaving that they were 1 and -- .
But, Southern came from like, 13? down to tie and go ahead.
The only call that just absolutely stunk was at the end of the 2nd OT, 2? Wahama players grabbed a Southern player, one actually grabbed the player, not the ball, clearly a foul, but the ref called a "jump ball", and suddenly the possession light switched to Wahama, when it was indicating Southern possession.

And as always, the
FROG was there carrying the game.

F-O-S,
That is exactly what you can't "see", when you are listening to a radio broadcast. This is even more of a testimonial about the quality of coverage by the radio guys. Little, if any, bias about the call........
Folks like me can kind of take what we hear into consideration, and spin it out on a website like this.
I knew that there were one or two calls that stunk it up, but honestly, it sounded like a very fairly called game..............

Steely, you're right about the Frog guys, although they will also say if the call sucked or not, either way.

Honestly, they didn't do badly on the calls, your gonna see some bad ones, especially when we saw almost 2 varsity games tonight!!!

The officals were actually par or slightly above par tonight. And that really surprised me too! Great team effort by the Tornadoes to pick up the win! And what I love the most is that Harris had struggled from 3 point land overall, and yet stepped up to knock down the 3 late in the third overtime. And like I said, GREAT TEAM EFFORT!!! Everyone did their job and that is what made the Tornadoes win (even on an overall off night).
