Trimble beats Alex 35-32. Alex only scored 6 points in the 2nd half. Trimble scored 15. Cold night of shooting. Trimble goes to 4-4 on the season after a 0-4 start while Alex falls to 5-4 after 4-0 start.

After reading topic heading I hope no one from Alex or Trimble takes offense. Wasn't there personally but the radio made it sound as if neither team was shooting very well.

The Athens sectional will be interesting, due to the records down there. Who's the best team in that sectional. I know Zane Trace has 3 losses against good teams Bloom Carroll 3 ot's, Piketon,Peebles by 5, and the Haynes kid is now officially back from injury after getting hurt 2 minutes into the first game versus BC. What are the records of those teams in that sectional?

kickinurz....is Oak Hill in that sectional or are they at Jackson?
So far the sectional looks like Zane Trace and then everyone else...Nville off to a good start.

No offense taken (by me anyway)....both squads were cold from outside. It was an AWESOME WIN for the TOMCATS!
Congrats CATS!!!

Wow. Big win for the Tomcats. Seems like they are really rolling at the moment.
Just for my own personal ease of mind, where was this game?

Wow just read the article in the paper. Sounds like both teams not very good last night. It's not just these teams but it seems that basketball talent in this area is way down this year. Most teams just aren't very good.

I traveled to Albany to watch this game. Nothing dropped for Alex but worse, they didn't play together as a team. No patience. Seems like they gun it down, make a couple of perimeter passes and fire it up from the 3. That's great if your making those shots but when they aren't falling you gotta be patient and work it inside. Another thing I noticed is guards would drive to the hole right past an open post player and turn it over. Frankly I question the coaching at Alex. And from what I hear the Alex Oak Hill game was the same - no real offense, excessive subbing, starters sitting the bench. Doesn't appear to me that Gabriel is utilizing the talent he has.
I feared that FH would have a rough road with Alex this year. But after watching last night I’m changing my take on that. Will be an interesting game for sure. Alex coaches better figure out what is wrong real quick because they face Vinton next.

The Spartans shots were not falling - teams have nights like this. And they didn't appear to be into the game like the Tomcats were "heart wise" (not that the CATS played their best either).
Gabriel is a seasoned coach, and it takes not only coaching but the players to work hard too. I didn't see any excessive subbing - they have a deep bench, but I am not a coach.
Vinton isn't playing up to their best game yet either - hopefully it will be a good game for both squads. I wish the best of luck to Fed - but I will take Alex in this match-up.
