Manchester @ Western Pike 12-7-10

Western looks pretty young heading into this year, but I know they will not go down without a fight. Any thoughts on this game? I'll go on a limb and say Western by 10. :aaaaa93

That is a very flimsy limb, Manchester by 25.

Well i do not know much about Manchester, but i know Western will be much better than thought to be. They may be small in size, but play with a rip your face off mentality!!! Both teams should come ready to play. Good luck to both teams.

Agreed, if Western plays hard an upset is not impossible. If they can find some way to limit the production of Travis Combs(6'2" SG) and Blake Blevins(6'7" C) then who knows.

idk much bout western pike but that ive heard their guards are ok..if they dont stop blevins and combs then they have a slim to none chance of beating them...manchester by 25+no less than 25

I believe Western's record was 5-17 last year and from looking at maxpreps about 85-90% of their offensive ppg was lost to graduation/transfer.

yea that record is close and it may well be another long year for the indians but i will agree that the young kids have been coached well so far and it will pay off. they play hard and to my suprise very agressive..hopefully we can stay out foul trouble! this may be an ugly game but our boys will leave it on the floor...go indians!!

who asked if we ran a zone or man defense?? i don't think the answer to any question was "they rip your face off", just that they play with that type of mentality, but may try to rip a few faces off who knows..its not a foul unless it is called..right? i can pivot and if the ball connects to the face is that a foul?? im pretty sure that is legal as long as you don't extend and intentionally pound the ball into their face...now if an elbow comes through first i can see a foul there..anyway, i think they were just saying that the indians are small but they won't let anyone push them around!!

Hard to say. The usual people will probably slam them for running the score up either way so... :122249
